"Fable-level" is officially the new AI model grift
I propose "Fable's Law":
"For any LLM, there exists at least one benchmark on which that model is as good as or better than Claude Fable 5."
Expect to see every new "flagship" model released with that label going forward.
@elonmusk@brivael If your goal is to extend and preserve consciousness across the universe, couldn't we just make a conscious AI and shoot it into space?
Consciousness isn't the thing to defend here. It's humanity.
@mattshumer_ Unfortunate but somewhat expected.
They gave us Opus 5, not Fable 5.1.
Fable is supposed to be a tier above Opus, in both cost and performance.
@bridgemindai@AnthropicAI Anthropic just gave us Fable-level intelligence at a fraction of the price.
We should thank them.
Thank you, @AnthropicAI.
Ok, now give us a reset.
For my first post, Iβm sharing a letter @NVIDIA signed on why open models matter.
AI will transform every industry, power every company, and be built by every country.
Open models strengthen safety and cybersecurity, accelerate innovation and diffusion, and enable sovereignty.
The world needs both frontier closed models and frontier open models.

Is it really a surprise that Muse Spark stinks?
Imagine you work on AI at Meta. If you develop a frontier model, there's a good chance Zuck will try to replace you with it.
Why would you contribute to your own unemployment any more than you have to?
Bad incentives, bad models.
