You made us all proud team Egypt 🇪🇬.
Got clearly cheated out of a goal, and overrun by FIFA corruption.
But hold your heads high like Coach Hossam held the flag of Palestine 🇵🇸.
They can’t VAR this.
If you ran ads saying "Abdul El-Sayed winning would make a top Hillary Clinton Advisor miserable" he'd jump up another 10% in the polls.
Auntie, I don't think you know how much America hates your brand of politics.
The whole world has been watching Muslims bow down during the World Cup. Here’s why.
There are moments in our lives that are so big they feel beyond us, like: How did I do that?
Those triumphs can feel like an out-of-body experience: your chest tightens, your eyes fill with tears, and your legs feel weak.
Sajdat al-shukr, the prostration of gratitude, answers that feeling.
The practice goes all the way back to Prophet Muhammad (s), who would fall into prostration whenever good news reached him. [Sunan Ibn Majah #1394]
Fourteen centuries later, in stadiums packed with 70,000+ people, that same gesture is still made not simply as a celebration but as a thank-you to Allah, the one true God.
In that moment of pure awe and excitement, Muslims recognize that their success came only from God and by His permission.
They humble themselves and submit fully to their core belief of Allahu Akbar, or Allah is greater than every single thing they can ever imagine or experience.
And the deepest way to express that gratitude and devotion is by putting the highest part of their bodies on the lowest point of the earth.
The Prophet (s) said that the servant is closest to Allah in prostration. [Riyaad as-Saliheen]
In sajdat al-shukr, the players leave it all behind—the world’s noise and the crowd’s cheer, the glory and the fame—to thank the One who gave them this moment.
Some Americans CELEBRATE 4th of July as the Independence day FROM Israel by setting on fire its flag
That includes Marine vet Brian McGinnis, who was manhandled for protesting Iran war, during Senate hearing earlier this Spring
Philadelphia, the "Birthplace of America,” has a rich and often overlooked Muslim history.
As America marks its 250th year, let’s talk about how, through conviction and a love for Islam, African-American pioneers helped raise communities, uplift generations, and shape the soul of Philadelphia.

I always think about the simple Egyptian fruit seller who realized aid trucks were headed to Gaza and started throwing fruit onto them. Coach Hossam exemplified that sincerity yesterday. The deep love that this Ummah has for Palestine unites us, and the disconnect is only between the streets and the politics, not the people.
The "Kamala reached out to Mamdani" story should be read the same way as "Biden is mad at Netanyahu behind the scenes" reporting. Which is to say it's a leaked story to give you the impression that candidate is more aligned with populist opinion than they really are.
