@MarkWCo @MichaelRosenYes I went to school with lots of Claires, Rebeccas, Lauras & James'. My children's friends all seem to be Florences, Dorothys, Archies etc. It follows that my grandchildren's generation will be Michaels, Davids & Joans (& a few Elaines & Deborahs if they have their children later)
@TheMasterThatch Fyi @Weremoco as you are Suffolk born & bred & love a bit of living history & also @myfirstraygun as this church isn't far from Beccles. I wonder if any of your ancestors worshipped there?
@puns_n_roses Is this a new partner? This may sound a bit dramatic but have you made a Clare's Law request? The police won't tell you what the outcome is but they will speak to your friend if their partner has a history of domestic abuse (including coercive control)https://t.co/yaDR6HZQ6A
@puns_n_roses Are QOTSA & Shinedown heavy enough? I know it is 31 years old what about RATM's eponymous album? I wrote 1500 words of my M05 essay on Thursday whilst listening to it. Combichrist's 'Everybody Hates You' has some good tracks & whilst not heavy , how about VNV's Futureperfect ?
@AmandaYeardsley @HelenGradwell Brown Eyed Girl was the sign that the lights were about to come up at @AgincourtVenue in the early 2000s. Walk by Pantera meant it was midnight and Nancy Boy by Placebo meant that hard-core hour was over.
@Kathryn11Baird It may not be a complete coincidence. Nottingham City Transport has existed in one form or another since 1878. @acsnottingham I appreciate that this is a very niche question but do you happen to know if the 1940s 145 route was an NCT one and if so, where it went?
@Kathryn11Baird That's about 5 minutes away from where I live. Reading back through your tweets about him, I can see that Peter caught the 145 bus into town. Today he would have caught a 45 service.
@alisonpearsonSW@mrharry001 @david_nuttall @philcox99 Probably be able to help him out a bit and we are saving for his future. However, he is going to need benefits to live with dignity once we're gone. It is terrifying prospect that that safety net might not be there.
@alisonpearsonSW@mrharry001 @david_nuttall @philcox99 My 7 year old son is also disabled (he was born with multi suture synostosis, is autistic with learning delays and hypotonia. He didn't walk until he was 3 and didn't speak until he was nearly 5. Like your daughter I don't imagine he will ever be able to work. His sisters will1/2
@maqusan @puns_n_roses & home births on the NHS. With qualified midwives who know when it is a good idea in the first place and when to recognise the signs that a mother and baby might need more intervention.
@puns_n_roses Or someone who is pregnant for the first time, or a man or someone who had a straightforward birth or a complicated over medicalised birth. Whatever their circumstances they clearly lack the understanding that their choices and experiences don't align with everyone else's.
@puns_n_roses Cool. Would be great to see you if you've got an hour or so spare. In terms of getting around Nottingham, if you do get the train here, get the tram into the city centre. Depending on which hotel you are at, it will mean minimal walking and much quicker & cheaper than a taxi.
Tom Lehrer has put all his songs online (including lyrics & sheet music), and given away all rights to them. The site will only be up for a limited time. This is a very niche tweet that will make a small segment of people very happy. https://t.co/sowetybPhT
