The people of Britain have shown their teeth before at Easter, when chocolate companies decided that the word Easter doesn’t belong.
After Easter every supermarket had pallets of chocolate eggs leftover.
Beware retailers, Christmas will be upon us shortly so remember that fact.
This is not the behaviour of a strong. proud nation.
Hedgehogs are delightful but they are not heroes.
Our progressive leaders fear and despise our history and its great men and women. So they devalue our currency with whimsy.
Pathetic.
Every other party wants to fleece the middle classes - who are the backbone of this country; @KemiBadenoch will do the opposite, which will appeal to the quiet voters of Britain. Home ownership is at the heart of British life, and protecting that and the family is precisely the change we need https://t.co/kzWCBB4VDH
Ok! This is getting on my last nerve. It's pronounced, ASK, not AXE. If you say, "I axed him", you are saying you attacked him with an axe. If you asked him a question, it's ASKED! This has been imported from America and is now in British and Irish conversations, and it's DOING MY HEAD IN!!!
Where is this guy?
We've had the US military withdrawal from British soil, the Green Party going full Nazi, warnings of a plague outbreak in Russia, and the ongoing disastrous immigration issues........
Where the fuck is he?
The withdrawal of the personal allowance for people who earn more than £100k was introduced in 2010. Because the £100k has not been indexed it is the equivalent to the personal allowance having been withdrawn at £62.5k in 2010 pounds. Further, because the personal allowance has doubled the effective 60% band has doubled.
You can only conclude want everyone to have the same net income whether on benefits or as a high earner.
Interesting history lesson, Mayor. You left out one rather awkward detail:
Oswald Mosley was not some creature who appeared fully formed from the "political right". He had been a Labour MP, sat on Labour’s NEC and was a member of the Fabian Society before founding the British Union of Fascists.
Even George Bernard Shaw, one of the great Fabian luminaries, was still publicly praising Mosley in 1932, after the BUF had been founded.
Which does rather spoil the neat little morality tale in which fascism belonged exclusively to “the other side”.
History is considerably more inconvenient than a mayoral tweet.
We see you.
