@Smith1984A@fia Belive me, I think everyone on twitter's read that rule, but the point of it coming in earlier is for the race to end on track. FIA did *bend* this rule but only because they wanted to let them race. It could have been the other way around (Ham pitted and had 1 lap to pass)
@Winternacht6@fia I don't believe that. The only difference would be that mercedes fans wouldn't have ranted about Massi and we would have had an equally exciting final lap.
@a13xyZZZ@lleney@JooRuku@iamShivamk@fia But I don't see how letting ricciardo, Stroll and Schumacher through would have changed the outcome of this race. I find it understandable that these cars (that weren't scoring points) Can be a lap down for the championship fighters to actually fight and not follow each other.
@iJezabella@jpharraw@MatthewLamburn@fia Exactly, they dominate the sport for eight seasons, but when their driver gets beat and cries about it they go and complain to the FIA about the least relevant sh*t. Their mentality should be to come back and try to win it next year, not cry about it.
@papayaash3 @George46533508@fia But what would be the point of letting all the cars through, everyone until p11 was unlapped i don't see ricciardo (who was p12) and McLaren complain about not being able to pass the SC.. It was a case of having a race to the line instead a conga line..
@nnamdi889@Baltus06@Smith1984A@fia Either way he cut the whole left right chicane, he could have rejoined somewhere less advantageous to him. Ham went from being overtaken to 2sec ahead after 1 turn.
@KritischK@SebastianBacon8@fia@F1MercedesAMG Exactly.. Lewis fans are just saying nonsense. Mercedes could have pitted for fresher tyres twice and would have been in a better position, but chose not to. I don't understand how all the people that say FIA fucked up dont see that.
@papayaash3 @George46533508@fia Letting all the lapped cars through would have led to finishing under safety car. Is that how you guys wanted the race to end?? Props to Michael Massi, they made the right call in the end. Staying out on 40 lap old hards is what cost Hamilton the championship.
