I have the worst news...

A North Carolina father, Lester Jones, has been k*lled after he heard his 16-year-old daughter being beaten by her boyfriend with a pistol.

The father stepped between her and the gun, shielding his daughter from the bullets, ultimately giving his life to save her as the boyfriend opened fire, k*lling him.

His daughter survived due to her father's intervention, but is in the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds.

Police say Lester's daughter's 17-year-old boyfriend punched her in the face and pistol-whipped her with a 9mm handgun in Concord, NC.

The father stepped in between them to protect her, taking multiple rounds himself, ultimately giving his life to save her.

The 17 year old, Keshaun Tirrell Degraffenreid, ran from police, but was eventually caught and has been charged with m*rder.

Due to Iryna's Law, he is being held in prison and will not get out. Please pray for the family and for the recovery of Lester's daughter who is in the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds.

African immigrant Chukwuka Nweke killed and sexually assaulted Italian woman Iris Setti.

She was heading home through the park when he attacked her, tried to rape her by pulling down her pants, and then beat her to death with at least 49 kicks and punches to the face.

The foreigner was sentenced to life imprisonment.

The video is from before the murder. He had been released despite previously attacking civilians and Carabinieri officers.
If he had been deported after that violent behavior, Iris would still be alive today.

A Civil War doctor watched more men die of dysentery than of bullets and decided the problem was the bread.

James Salisbury was a Union surgeon in a war where disease killed more than half of the 600,000 dead. He blamed the starchy biscuit ration for the camps' endless dysentery and put his sick soldiers on chopped lean beef, broiled, with almost nothing else, letting other food back to a quarter of the plate only once they recovered. He set it all down in 1888 in a book called The Relation of Alimentation and Disease, one of the earliest American diet books and a meat-first elimination protocol a full century before anyone coined the word carnivore. Salisbury never named the dish after himself. He only ever called it muscle pulp of beef.

What survives under his name today is a tray. A grey patty of mechanically separated beef, soy protein, caramel colour and gravy reconstituted from powder, sealed under a film lid and microwaved. The doctor prescribed lean beef and a knife. The food industry handed it back as a frozen dinner with a cartoon on the box.

The recipe:

- 500g good ground chuck, the fattier the better.
- 1 egg yolk to bind.
- Salt, black pepper, a dash of Worcestershire.
- 1 large onion, sliced.
- 200g mushrooms.
- A splash of beef stock.
- Beef tallow or butter to fry.

Mix the beef with the yolk and seasoning. Form into thick ovals. Sear hard in tallow until a crust forms.
Lift out. Soften the onions and mushrooms in the same fat. Add the stock, scrape the pan, reduce to a gravy.
Return the steaks, spoon the gravy over, finish together for two minutes.

He thought he was treating dysentery. He was, almost by accident, writing the first carnivore protocol, and a hundred and forty years later people keep arriving at the same conclusion the same way he did, by watching what happens when the starch comes off the plate.

TUCSON, AZ — Snuggles, a 2-year-old livestock guardian dog belonging to a military veteran and his family, has spent nearly eight months at Pima Animal Care Center following a first-time bite incident that occurred on his family's property.

His family has reportedly been charged more than $15,000 in boarding fees while fighting the case through the court system.

The children's grandmother, who was the bite victim, has publicly asked that Snuggles be returned home.

As the case continues, new questions are emerging.

What is Snuggles' quality of life after nearly eight months in a shelter kennel?

What enrichment, exercise, socialization, and human interaction is he receiving?

Why is his family unable to receive updates about his condition?

As Tucson and Pima County face budget challenges and reports of staffing reductions, many residents are asking whether it makes financial sense to continue spending substantial public resources fighting this case instead of pursuing a resolution.

How much taxpayer money has already been spent on legal proceedings, administrative resources, court time, and personnel hours in a case where the owner, family, and even the bite victim are all seeking alternatives to euthanasia?

At a time when public resources are stretched thin, should hundreds of thousands of dollars be spent fighting over an accident, or should the focus be on finding a reasonable resolution?

"The science is settled" is a phrase that should make you reach for your wallet and check it is still there.

The science was also settled when:

- Cigarettes were recommended for asthma and sore throats
- Bayer sold heroin as a children's cough remedy
- The lobotomy won its inventor a Nobel Prize
- Surgeons refused to wash their hands, and mocked the man who told them to
- Thalidomide was the safe, gentle choice for morning sickness
- Bloodletting was the answer to almost everything, including the patients it killed

Every one of those was mainstream, expert-backed, official medicine, right up until it wasn't.

Real science is never settled. It is provisional, arguing with itself, forever one good experiment away from being overturned. The phrase "settled science" is not a description of knowledge. It is a tool for ending a conversation, usually wielded by whoever benefits from you not asking the next question.

Modern medicine has wrapped itself in that phrase like a comfort blanket. The confident pamphlet. The doctor with no time and a prescription pad. The official guideline presented as physics. And underneath the white coats and the certainty sits a track record that is far shakier, far more commercial, and far more frequently wrong than the public is ever allowed to see.

None of this is an argument that medicine is worthless. Set a broken leg, treat an infection, stitch a wound, and you will thank the profession on your knees. The point is narrower and more uncomfortable. A great deal of what is sold to you as established, evidence-based and beyond question turns out, on inspection, to be temporary, conflicted, or quietly reversed a decade later, after you have already taken the pills.

This is a thread about the gap between the confidence and the evidence. About how often "proven" becomes "withdrawn." About who profits when you manage a disease forever instead of curing it. And about why a healthy scepticism, the thing they call you a crank for having, is the most rational stance a patient can take.

Keep one question in your pocket for every confident man in a white coat. How do you actually know that, and who paid for the study that told you?

Pediatrician Investigated for Sexual Misconduct in Ontario Now Practicing in Saskatchewan

I confronted Dr. Adegbenga Oluwaseun Rabiu at his medical office in Moose Jaw, where he is treating children of unsuspecting rural communities, about his track record in Ontario of being banned for life from practicing there following sexual abuse investigations. I asked why anyone should trust their children to his care.

Dr. Rabiu, a foreign-medical graduate from Nigeria, is currently charged with two counts of dishonest conduct by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS) for allegedly hiding the fact that he was under a sexual abuse investigation in Ontario when he applied to renew his license in Saskatchewan.

Despite his concerning history of two separate sexual abuse investigations in Ontario, the CPSS continues to allow Dr. Rabiu unrestricted access to the most vulnerable members of our society: children.

The Registrar’s office of the CPSS filed an application on February 14, 2024, asking the CPSS Council to strike Dr. Rabiu’s name from the register.

The Registrar argued that had they been aware “of the entirety of Dr. Rabiu’s conduct at the time he applied for registration, it would have denied him licensure.”

But the CPSS Council denied the Registrar’s application to strike Dr. Rabiu’s name from the register, according to an exclusive document obtained by @MediaBezirgan’s research team.
