Toyota unveiled the GR86 Rally Legacy Concept at the 2024 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, a nod to its celebrated 90s rally history embodied by the Celica GT-Four.

Here are the highlights:

🔹 The GR86 Rally Legacy Concept is based on the 2024 GR86 with Performance Package, showcasing Toyota's dedication to combining nostalgia with forward-looking performance.

🔹 Inspired by the iconic ST185 and ST205 Celica GT-Four rally cars, the concept utilises a GR Corolla’s 3-cylinder turbocharged GR-FOUR AWD drivetrain.

🔹 Modifications included adapting the GR86 chassis to fit the GR Corolla’s transverse-mounted engine, a custom subframe, unique engine mounts, and revised suspension components.

🔹 Upgrades for the G16 engine feature a performance intercooler, oil cooler, and a race ECU, maintaining 300hp and 273 lb.-ft. torque, with the potential for future performance tuning.

🔹 The exterior boasts a Halo White finish accented by heritage rally colours, large rally mudflaps, a Celica-inspired spoiler, and modern Gazoo Racing branding.

🔹 Interior details include a full racing cage painted white, racing seats with red 6-point harnesses, aligning with Toyota’s motorsport aesthetics.

🔹 The build celebrates Toyota’s motorsports heritage and hints at the potential return of the World Rally Championship to the United States, embracing both tradition and modern technology.
