Israel has illegally arrested activists, including Greta Thunberg and eight Malaysians, after intercepting at least eight ships from the Gaza-bound Global Sumud Flotilla.

The GSF accused the Israeli navy of ramming vessels and using water cannons, but all passengers remained unharmed.

Israel claims the activists would be deported once the Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur concludes.
