Nowadays, music students are pressuring professors to engage with music that is increasingly violent, sexually explicit, and misogynistic. A lot of this stuff is just made for money and entertainment. I'm sorry, but I just don't feel comfortable discussing opera in my classroom.

@liliththerook I’m so glad you were able to find him. My g-g-grandfather also died in WWI and is buried in northern France. Went to visit his grave a long time ago. Would love to go back one day.
