@digijho i will say though in taku's case, part of what i like the most about him is that he is a proper "grown-up," i feel like even if it's painful at first he'd eventually be able to genuinely say he's happy to see towa happy 🙂↕️ (at least in the routes where they remain close lol)
@twinmeteors413@yandhiisntreal and there's references but they're still like poking fun at them, it's not on the level of affection you see from cartoons nowadays (and again i'm really not holding it against him. some people don't fw anime and that's fine)
@twinmeteors413@yandhiisntreal not saying you're wrong (bc it's just a theory anyway) but i don't think it's a japanese thing at all, he is of the generation of art school alumni that was taught anime animation was bad except for ghibli, a lot of animation ppl viewed anime as uncool nerd shit back in the day
@twinmeteors413@yandhiisntreal yeah you can tell he's probably the type of artist who was taught to view anime as inferior too, which i don't mean as a value judgment of him at all but a lot of art schools during his time were pushing that heavy
Rest in peace, Eric. Thank you for taking up the mantle and breathing new life into Looney Tunes icons like Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck, and other countless beloved characters. Your joy and kindness will live on in the hearts of animation fans everywhere.
Thank you Eric for giving our favorites their “voice.” His excitement and love for them was always evident, his passion undeniable. Saddened to hear of this sudden, tragic news. My heart and thoughts are with Eric’s family and loved ones.
RIP Eric Bauza.
