PM Chromebook Scheme and Injustice with Technical Students!

It is a matter of great concern that the Prime Minister's Chromebook Scheme for 9th class high achievers includes only students from Science and Arts groups.

In our public schools in Punjab, technical groups like Computer Technology and Fashion Designing are running successfully. Students from these groups have secured more than 84% marks (487, 481 marks), but they have been completely excluded from this scheme.

The reason given is that these technical groups are not offered in all provinces, they are only in Punjab. Does this mean that the hard work of technical students of Punjab has no value?

Can the dream of Digital Pakistan be realized without the students of Computer Technology? Does a modern field like Fashion Designing not deserve digital support?

We appeal to the concerned authorities to take notice of this injustice and include thousands of technical students of Punjab in this scheme as well.

Why is the world silent over the incarcerated Hurriyat leader Yasin Malik? I have just gone through his letter, and it made me deeply sad.
In my legal practice, I have known many imprisoned people who are on death row or serving life sentences, but very few have ever set their wives free from the chains of a relationship they themselves can no longer fully live or sustain.
Only a man with great humanity and moral courage can understand that a woman has her own desires, needs, and right to live her life, and that she should not remain bound to a relationship in which he himself is unable to fulfil the responsibilities of a partner.
This is what true love, mutual respect, and partnership mean. This is also what marriage should mean. Sometimes, letting someone go is the deepest form of love one can offer to a partner.
Human rights organisations should also make efforts to facilitate a meeting between Yasin Malik and his wife and daughter in prison in India.

We will be opening applications on Friday for students across Punjab to apply for an electric bike with zero down payment and an affordable monthly instalment of just Rs. 3,000.

Sporty, stylish, and practical, these electric bikes will make everyday travel easier while helping students save on fuel costs and reduce the burden of expensive daily commuting.

The programme will be open to both government and private-sector students, giving young people across Punjab an equal opportunity to benefit.

And yes, black for the boys and pink for the girls! 🖤🩷

Our vision is simple: we want Punjab’s students to be independent, empowered, and dependent on no one for their mobility.
