There are a lot of awful Maga people attacking Wilson, so I kinda get it honestly. Wilson’s framework for translation actually sounds interesting to me.

I appreciate Wilson for making it accessible in plain English, but it still feels aesthetically off to me.

Makes it hard to hear the meter in your head because it doesn’t flow as naturally. This could still just be cherry picked I guess. I haven’t read the rest of it.

@thechrislambert @goulderas @megaballs45 That’s a pretty extreme subtlety of translation. I think what people are objecting to is the way Wilson’s writing doesn’t flow naturally. It might just be the line breaks in the example, but it sounds awkward despite being modern English. “Find the Beginning” especially hurts
