You are the granddaughter of Marhoom Mufti Sahib who became Home Minister and later Chief Minister with BJP support.

You are the daughter of Mehbooba Mufti Sahiba, whose government stood only because of the BJP. You are the niece of Tasaduk Mufti (Mama ji), who held a cabinet post only because of BJP. And yes, your extended family, including your mother’s mosa ji Farooq Mosa, etc also drew their share of influence due to BJP.

Your family and party (PDP) didn’t just work with the BJP. It rose, it benefited and it thrived because of the BJP. Yet today you speak as if there was never any political bond at all. That isn’t confidence. It’s denial. And it insults the public’s memory.

Let’s be blunt. To many, PDP looks like a junior BJP yelling at senior BJP. A staged fight. A fixed match.

Who are you attacking today?
The BJP that helped build your party?
The BJP you governed with?
The BJP that handed your family ministries?

From “fight the BJP” during voting to “sit with the BJP” after counting. So which version should the public believe?

Kashmiris have not forgotten what that your family and party delivered - AFSPA and PSA that tore families apart. Detainees sent outside the Kashmir. People blinded by pellets. Homes turned into graveyards. Thousands carrying injuries that never healed. That was not governance. It was trauma written into our society.

And yes, the “doodh-toffee” coffee comment still burns in public memory. A reminder of how pain was dismissed when blood was still fresh on the streets.

So no
lecturing others on political morality does not work when the foundation you stand on was laid with BJP bricks.
