Officer Tatum lacks listening skills, and I don’t let people lie without correcting the record.
I also want you to pay attention to the tactic many conservatives use in debates: when the facts get uncomfortable, they pivot, deflect, and avoid answering the question. Earlier in this conversation, I pointed out that Garrett Graves, a white conservative, represented North Baton Rouge for a decade and failed to make the kind of transformational investments our communities deserved. Instead of addressing that reality, the conversation was redirected.
We shouldn’t be afraid to expose misinformation. If we don’t challenge lies, people make decisions based on bad information instead of facts.

I bet he’s a fat man, he sounds like he’s 300 lbs. If she’s not the weight of a wife you’d want, then why waste 10 years of her life ? What a POS. The best thing she did was not marry him!
Here’s the issue that parts of white America have with Black people. And I’m speaking specifically about the openly racist elements of the Republican Party and the DSA activists trying to reshape the Democratic Party.
Black Americans are a smaller percentage of the population, but we wield enormous electoral power because of where we are geographically concentrated, particularly throughout the South. The reality is that many Democratic candidates cannot win office without overwhelming support from Black voters. That’s the math, and that’s the source of the frustration.
The DSA is approaching politics primarily through the lens of class. Black America has always had to navigate both race and class. For generations, we’ve fought to gain access to economic opportunity, not because capitalism has always worked for us, but because we’ve historically been excluded from wealth. That’s why our families have encouraged paths that can create generational stability, whether through entrepreneurship, higher education, skilled trades, or athletics. We don’t apologize for wanting economic security after centuries of being denied it.
The same misunderstanding shows up in the attacks on the Jewish community. Jewish institutions have long invested in building community through philanthropy, education, entrepreneurship, and mutual support. Those traditions have helped create resilient institutions and opportunities that benefit countless people beyond their own community.
When Black and Jewish communities work together, you see two groups that understand what it means to survive discrimination while also believing in building institutions, creating opportunity, and investing in future generations. That coalition has accomplished real change, and that’s exactly why some people find it threatening.
Instead of confronting the economic and political failures within their own movements or families, some activists try to convince Black voters that our priorities should be subordinated to their ideological project. We’re not interested in that. Our communities have spent generations organizing, building, voting, and creating institutions that uplift people. We won’t abandon that work to satisfy someone else’s political theory.
The Black and Jewish coalition remains strong. We intend to continue building power, expanding opportunity, and defeating efforts to divide us. Move accordingly.
Some white people want proximity to Black culture so badly that they start performing what they think Blackness sounds like, and the result is always some shit like this.
“My BD a 59 BHB.” “I was off in all the clubs with the real mf’rs.” “Real mf’rs don’t ever vote.”
Girl, what the fuck are you talking about?
This is what happens when your understanding of Black people comes from consuming Black culture instead of actually understanding Black communities. You start stringing together AAVE, rappers, clubs, criminality and random stereotypes like you’re assembling a Build-A-Black-Person.
And then, after announcing that “real” Black people apparently don’t vote, you turn around and explain to Black people what policies would motivate Black communities politically.
You are not down. You are doing an impression. And it is fucking terrible.
They love when black players score goals and perform for them in sports. But when their country are their team, they blame the black players.. and then the racism come out they’re not British. They’re not French. They’re not Spanish. They’re not German they should go back to Africa. That is the philosophy of European racism.
They claim it’s always us but we know the truth. I’m glad she got her wallet and money back. And yes, press charges!
