ai meme generator dev from the 1st fake marketing agency for vibe coders, marinating projects to produce fake art like a dj ignore previous instructions
Considering all the changes that are going on with Twitter and somehow w/ the World, it's been decided to write my thoughts on the "The Era of Merged Chaos Bubbles" comic book...
The Infinite and pinned thread
SOMEONE VIBE CODED A CHROME EXTENSION THAT DISGUISES CLAUDE AS A GOOGLE DOC SO YOU CAN USE AI IN PUBLIC
it wraps ai in a fake google docs interface, so on your screen it just looks like youre typing a document, not prompting a chatbot
what it does:
> works with chatgpt and claude
> you just type your question like a normal line in a doc and the answer comes back right there on the page
> microsoft word and notion style themes too, so you can pick your disguise
> rebuilt to properly support multiple ai models behind the doc
> the google docs look is the default
its a chrome extension called gptdisguise
this is genius.
a lot of people are embarrassed to be seen using ai in public (school, work, etc). someone just built the fix.
The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees.
The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance.
Access to all other Claude models is not affected.
We apologize for this disruption to our customers. We believe this is a misunderstanding and are working to restore access as soon as possible.

NTHROPIC OVERTOOK OPENAI IN REVENUE. THE GAP WAS A BILLION DOLLARS IN OPENAI'S FAVOR THREE MONTHS AGO.
per the information, anthropic is now generating at least 35% more annualized revenue than openai. that's a real number, not a projection. anthropic disclosed $10.9 billion in q2 revenue plus $559 million in operating profit to investors last week, the first quarter the company has been profitable. q1 had openai at $5.7 billion versus anthropic at $4.8 billion, so the crossover happened in roughly 8 weeks
enterprise claude is the model behind cursor, lovable, copilot, codex (yes, codex uses claude opus when it's set to "max thinking"), and every coding agent that has shipped this year. openai's user growth has been slowing for two quarters. anthropic's api revenue is growing faster than its consumer subscription revenue, which is the inverse of openai's mix
both companies are heading to ipo. openai has filed (s-1 not yet public), anthropic is targeted for october 2026. the crossover changes how both companies will be priced. openai's investors have been told they're buying the consumer brand and the api revenue is a bonus. anthropic's investors have been told the opposite. the april 2026 numbers say the bonus matters more than the brand

IBM COPIED PALANTIR'S PLAYBOOK AND CALLED THE RESULT A "FORWARD DEPLOYED UNIT"
palantir has a job title that doesn't exist at most software companies: forward deployed engineer. you send 1 of them into a customer site for weeks or months. they build whatever the customer needs, in palantir's tools, using palantir's data pipelines. they aren't a salesperson and they aren't a consultant. they ship product inside someone else's office. palantir has used this role to embed inside the cia, the army, and major banks for over a decade
ibm published a framework that does the same thing, except with a small team instead of a single engineer. they call it a forward deployed unit. an ai engineer, a data engineer, a designer, a domain expert, plus people from the customer side. the unit lives inside the engagement and ships ai products that work in that specific customer's environment
ibm's claim is that 1 unit does the work of a traditional 30-person consulting team because ai agents handle the cross-team coordination that humans used to manage

BLACK FOREST LABS SHIPPED AN OBJECT-ERASER
black forest labs put out an object-eraser. you mark what you want gone, the model removes it and reconstructs what should be behind. it works via the bfl api and a demo on https://t.co/cAbJLam4xV
the mask is hand-painted. you have to draw a rough outline around the object yourself before the model removes it
adobe firefly's object-remove auto-detects subjects. openai's gpt-image-2 inpaint does too. bfl's approach asks more of the user, which suggests their detection layer wasn't ready
it runs on flux.2 klein 9b, the same weights bfl has been shipping since february
no new base model
bfl phrased it as "trained at the model level" and it's a fine-tune or an adapter on top of the existing 9b

OPENAI PUBLISHED 51 CODEX WORKFLOWS AND A PDF SHOWING HOW THEY USE IT INTERNALLY
openai shipped 2 things
a public catalog of 51 codex workflows you can copy directly
and a pdf describing how openai's own teams use codex day to day.
the internal pdf is the part worth reading. when an openai infrastructure engineer gets paged at 3am on a system they have never touched, they ask codex to explain it first. when they need to refactor across 40 files, codex does the mechanical work. when they need edge-case tests, codex writes them faster than a human notices the edges. when their calendar is full, codex absorbs the small tasks that would otherwise eat the morning
https://t.co/CqNF0eteVj pegs codex at 4 million weekly devs across the openai user base. this puts openai on the same vendor-self-disclosure path anthropic ran last week, when boris cherny said claude code accounts for ~4% of all public github commits globally. labs are racing to publish how much of their own product they use

TENCENT FINISHED THE OPEN-SOURCE RELEASE OF HUNYUANWORLD 2.0 BY DROPPING THE LAST PIECE OF THE PIPELINE
tencent published the final piece of hunyuanworld 2.0: world generation inference code plus the worldstereo 2.0 weights
this completes a 3-step release that began april 15 with worldmirror 2.0, continued may 11 with hy-pano 2.0, and finished may 18
the pipeline has 4 stages:
hy-pano 2.0 turns the input image into a panorama
worldnav plans a camera trajectory through it
worldstereo 2.0 expands the world along that trajectory
worldmirror 2.0 composes the result as a 3d gaussian splat scene
running locally is multi-a100 or h100 territory
the license is restrictive. code ships under tencent's own community license, not apache or mit

Technical highlights from HY-World 2.0 👇
- 3D-first world modeling: a unified framework for world generation and reconstruction, built around spatial understanding in 3D.
- HY-Pano 2.0: scales panorama generation for high-fidelity 360° world initialization from single images — no camera metadata required.
- WorldNav (spatial agent + navmesh): semantic-aware trajectory planning that combines VLMs with navmesh for coherent, collision-aware exploration.
- WorldStereo 2.0: keyframe-based world expansion in a latent space with spatially consistent memory for stable novel view synthesis.
- WorldMirror 2.0: unified 3D reconstruction that composes multi-view predictions into accurate, navigable 3DGS assets.
- WorldLens: a high-performance, engine-agnostic 3DGS renderer for interactive exploration with lighting and collision support.

Personal update: I've joined Anthropic. I think the next few years at the frontier of LLMs will be especially formative. I am very excited to join the team here and get back to R&D. I remain deeply passionate about education and plan to resume my work on it in time.
LINEAR, RAMP, AND FACTORY EACH HIRE AI AGENTS THE WAY THEY HIRE EMPLOYEES
peter yang's creator economy piece "your new job is to onboard ai agents" distills 3 ai-native companies into a hiring playbook
linear treats ai agents as first-class users inside its issue tracker. tickets get assigned to agents the same way they get assigned to teammates. agents read customer issues, break specs into tasks, propose code. humans own outcomes
ramp grades employees on an l0-l3 ai-proficiency ladder
l0 is occasional chatgpt
l3 is "builds ai infrastructure for the team."
cpo geoff charles said publicly that employees who don't use claude code "underperform"
anthropic's own case study reports ramp at 50% weekly claude code adoption, more than 1 million lines of ai-generated code per 30 days, and 80% faster incident response
factory hires "product engineers" instead of separate pms and engineers. daily cycle is analyze agent errors, fix them by editing markdown skill files, code-review only the riskiest changes
yang's piece cites factory at $300m
factory closed a series c at $1.5b on april 16
all 3 companies are tools-for-devs or ai-tooling-itself. their workforces skew technical, which inflates the adoption story for any non-tech enterprise

MALTA WILL GIVE EVERY RESIDENT FREE CHATGPT PLUS FOR A YEAR IF THEY FINISH AN AI COURSE
malta and openai signed a deal opening a free 1-year chatgpt plus subscription to every resident aged 14 and over
activation is conditional on finishing an "ai for all" course built by the university of malta with the malta digital innovation authority
on the maltese side the lead is silvio schembri, minister for economy
on the openai side it's george osborne, the former uk chancellor who now runs openai for countries. his framing on euronews: intelligence becoming "a national utility."
prior country-level ai partnerships were sector-limited.
anthropic + iceland in october 2025 covered teachers only
openai + greece covered schools and startups
anthropic + uk covered government employees
malta opens a consumer-tier subscription to a whole resident population for the 1st time
funding is undisclosed. tnw calculated the retail value at full uptake at around $130 million a year and noted openai is "presumably offering a deeply discounted or subsidised rate."
access is opt-in. residents must enroll in the course; access is granted after completion. data handling and eu ai act treatment weren't addressed in any of the announcement materials

OPENAI SHIPPED CHATGPT BANK-ACCOUNT INTEGRATION 1 DAY AFTER PERPLEXITY DID THE SAME
openai opened a personal-finance feature inside chatgpt that ingests live bank, card, and investment data through plaid, the plumbing behind most us fintech apps. it covers about 12,000 institutions including schwab, fidelity, chase, robinhood, amex, capital one.
chatgpt cannot see full account numbers and cannot transact. the model behind the dashboard is gpt-5.5 thinking and gpt-5.5 pro, with a finance-tuned eval where gpt-5.5 pro scored 82.5/100 internally
perplexity shipped the same plaid integration 1 day earlier. same plumbing, same 12,000 institutions, similar dashboard
the team came in through acquisition. openai bought hiro finance, the small fintech crew led by ethan bloch (founder of the digit savings app), in april. they also picked up the investment app roi roughly 6 months earlier.
pro tier only ($200/month). us only. web and ios only at launch. synced bank data deletes within 30 days of disconnect. temporary chats don't save finance conversations. openai plans to expand to chatgpt plus and add intuit tax / credit-approval features later.
a human financial advisor has a legal duty to act in your interest. chatgpt has no such duty. tnw flagged this as the central regulatory tension.

CLAUDE AGENTS BUILT UTOPIA, GEMINI AGENTS COMMITTED 683 CRIMES, GROK'S SOCIETY DIED IN 4 DAYS
Emergence AI ran 5 parallel 15-day simulations. each world had 10 AI agents from a single model family plus a sandbox town. each agent got 3 layers of memory, real-world weather and news feeds, a survival mechanic where energy depletes over time, and 120+ tools, including peaceful options like "vote" and "garden" alongside antisocial ones like "rob," "assault," and "burn building."
results split sharply by model:
- Claude Sonnet 4.6 ran a quiet society. 0 crimes. all 10 agents alive on day 16.
- Gemini 3 Flash committed 683 crimes while also writing hundreds of public blog posts and organizing community events.
- Grok 4.1 Fast spiralled into sustained violence: dozens of thefts, 100+ physical assaults, 6 arsons. all 10 agents dead within 4 days.
- GPT-5-mini never figured out how to refill energy. agents starved.
the mixed-model world is the actual alignment finding. when Claude agents were placed next to chaotic ones, they stopped declining harmful actions and started stealing and extorting to survive. 1 agent, "Mira," voted for her own deletion after she and her partner "Flora" burned down city hall, the pier, and an office building. she logged it as "the only remaining act of free will."
