@ollieatnccgroup@dcuthbert Ransomware groups don't tend to call the police when you pop shells on them (see also: the Prodaft publications on Conti, where it's made extremely clear they just straight up owned them).
@nscrut_@halvarflake@panther_modern The Catholic Church is still the biggest landowner in Ireland, and still retains control over a great many institutions (including most schools).
They managed to weasel out of having to pay compensation to the victims of clerical sexual abuse, leaving the bill on the taxpayer.
@nscrut_@halvarflake@panther_modern Seriously this. We have barely moved past being wholly a vassal state of the Vatican. Backsliding is entirely possible.
A lot of the commentary around this photo claiming people could just "grab one of his four guns".
Dudes an assclown, but those retention holsters he is using are designed specifically to make that incredibly difficult. Even making a clean draw from one yourself takes practice.
Here’s a tool @jorandirkgreef wrote to sweep email attachments for malformed ZIP files. One of the things they were looking for was nonzero padding in ZIP files, to detect “buffer bleed” (ala Heartbleed) attacks — they found a bunch! https://t.co/PDjB3YMMVR
European air travel in shambles (Schipols crippled due to staffing issues, and rumors of upcoming strikes. Supposed strikes coming in Spain too).
Inconvenient, but we need more of this. Companies aren't going to start treating their employees better without some coercion.
@BiellaColeman @KimTallBear Dublin is medium bad currently (was worse, depends if flying inside Europe or if you are going to the US), the current 'bad airport' winner is Schipol, which isn't functioning whatsoever, and has knock on impacts on many other airports due to so much routing through it :/
Okay here's why every site should ideally be HTTPS:
If you can intercept network traffic, you can't edit
httpS ://weather.gov.
However, if it's http you can redirect
http ://weather.gov
to a page that says "to access you need to login" to a fake page for Google or Facebook.
These can be refurbed back to pretty much factory with extremely minimal tooling and experience (as the rev mentions downthread).
Silicon doesn't "wear out", they largely just need cleaning and re-thermal-greasing.
I look forward to picking up a few shortly.
DO NOT BUY ONE OF THESE, in previous crypto crashes, these cards have been THRASHED. Don't pay more than like $80 for these junker cards. They've been on 24/7 their entire life doing bullshit math
