🚀Fueling competition quick tips:

📍Eat foods you are familiar with! Competition day isn't the time to experiment. NO NEW FOODS ON GAME DAY!

📍Fuel up with the foods you've been having prior to your training sessions.

📍Avoid high-fat , spicy, and fiber-rich foods prior to competition which can lead to GI pain and stomach discomfort.

📍If you do choose to consume are having coffee/caffeine, consume it at least 30 minutes prior to your event.

📍Caffeine effects reach peak levels about 30 - 60 min post-intake.

🚫No fuel for working muscles =
↘️Decline in speed, power, focus, and strength

This sample student-athlete menu contains roughly:
👉2,500 kcal
👉181 g protein
👉44 g fiber
👉66 g fat
👉306 g carbohydrates

**(athletes need 3-5 g/carbs/kg/BW depending upon sport, training demands, and goals).
