@JuanVar62551361@KIN110UofR One way is too speak up! In class, Dr.Hoeber mentioned that a lot of people are silenced so if we speak out about it then we could also create an Anti-Hazing policy within that sports team.
@BriannaSwyryda@KIN110UofR I believe ufc is the most violent sport. The goal is to injure and beat your openent. Many athletes within the sport encompass aggression, where the athlete wants to do harm and/or has intent to dominate their opponents .

Could Creatine be a sports enhancing drug?
I know some sports and leagues ban creatine, but it is produced naturally within our bodies and has been proven to not harm our health.

One topic we discussed in class was transgender participation. One topic that came up was that society has limited space and access to facilities for transgendered people. Last nights the Lawson, I came across a universal change room that can accompany transgendered people.
@senecalkin110@KIN110UofR For years, Don cherry has been making very controversial comments and not following the hockey night in Canada script. He called European hockey players "wimps", which is completely not this case. For this reason, I believe he would still have been fired if he had apologized.
@HanleyRyland@KIN110UofR That's a really good point! If we can implement and normalize the idea that females are able to coach male at a young age, then we could possibly see an increase in females with leadership positions/roles.
@KIN110UofR I believe one way is by starting small and eventually building up. What I mean is if we could get the majority of rec. sport coaches to be female for kids in the community, over time we could make advancements and build to being professional sports coaches.
@KIN110UofR I believe that the norms of masculinity are changing. If we look at style choices today in sports, many male athletes want to wear colours that pop such as violet or pink, which in the past were colours that "only girls would wear".
@KIN110UofR One way that would be very effective in today's society, would be to implement a healthy lifestyle on social media. We have millions of users on social media, so if we begin to implement this healthy lifestyle at a younger age, the better success it could have in the future.
@KIN110UofR One new-ish example that was implemented in the NHL a few years back, was the 3 on 3 overtime. That personally got me more excited because now the game became bigger, with more ice surface and players were forced to skate super hard.
@KIN110UofR I believe commercialization does impact the enjoyment of professional sports. Majority of sports played today are centered and built around a brand. One good example is that of the Superbowl. As much as people love watching the game, the commercials are highly anticipated as well
@KIN110UofR It really depends on the kid. Some kids join structured sport for fun, while some other kids join for the competition. It's intention is for fun, but some kids are more competitive than others and could use different strategies for winning. #KIN110Fall2019
@KIN110UofR In soccer, having the latest cleats or boots earns you some respect. People would look at you as a better player based on your footwear! #socialworlds
@KIN110UofR Once I started going to university, I had to give up competitive soccer to focus on school work and be successful in University. We were practicing almost 10-12 hours a week which took up significant time. #changingparticipation
@KIN110UofR One clear example is NCAA sports. According to https://t.co/ANzrHFeZow that in 2018, over 163 million people were streaming the NCAA football games. From TV broadcasts alone, they earned 857 million dollars usd. None of which, would go to the athletes.https://t.co/C3AO4ibNsf
@KIN110UofR I believe the term "physical exertion" by a human is a part of #whatisasport Take for example Nascar driving. The machine is being used and is working hard and the person is controlling it, but isn't physically exerting themselves to achieve a goal.
