@GovTinaKotek@ORDems You really think Oregonians aren’t paying attention? You’ve had 13 years to make progress as a leader. But 30 days from election you’re claiming progress.
@TinaKotek It’s sad that you think less of the general public. Only 4 months have pasted since 83% of Oregonians rejected House bill 3991. Sponsored by you https://t.co/mxy6gqti4w
PUBLIC MEETING NOTICE – ATTEND & TESTIFY 🚨
Kotek’s board planning a state-run healthcare system & massive tax increases has called a special virtual meeting:
🗓 Thurs Oct 8 8am
⚠️ Deadline Reminder: By law (ORS 751.002), the board was required to release a comprehensive plan—a complete, final blueprint answering basic funding and implementation details—no later than Sept 15. An email from the Governor or lawmakers who want to bury this till after the election doesn't change state law; only a new statute can.
📢 Make your voice heard:
• Sign up to speak by Wed 8am:

• Read the draft plan:

Governor Kotek and Democrat leaders broke the law to hide their government-run healthcare takeover until after you vote.
The Universal Health Plan Governance Board was required to release its report on September 15. They didn’t. Kotek and the committee chairs approved the delay anyway. Legislative Counsel says they had no authority to do it.
They buried it because voters would reject it.
What is already known from the draft: • Seniors lose traditional Medicare and get forced into the state system • Your tax dollars pay for full coverage for people here illegally • A new income tax hits AGI, before deductions, so working families pay more
A report that takes away Medicare and raises taxes does not get shelved by accident three weeks before an election. That is a cover-up.
The board just called an emergency meeting for Thursday, October 8. Open the records. Release the plan. Let Oregonians see it before November 3.
Oregon is quietly working on one of the largest tax increases in state history.
The state’s Universal Health Plan Governance Board has modeled funding Oregon’s proposed single-payer healthcare system with:
• 10.1% healthcare income tax
• 9.6% employer payroll tax
• Higher corporate income taxes
• Higher Corporate Activity Tax
• Higher lodging taxes
The income tax would apply to income above 200% of the federal poverty level and is intended to replace premiums, deductibles and copays.
But here’s where this gets even more interesting:
Oregon law required the board to present a comprehensive implementation plan by September 15, 2026.
That deadline has come and gone.
Instead, the state is now talking about “draft plan models,” with lawmakers considering the issue in 2027.
Whether you support single-payer healthcare or not, Oregonians deserve to know:
What happened to the plan the Legislature required by September 15—and why are we discussing potential double-digit new taxes without it?
This deserves far more public scrutiny than it’s getting. Thank you @RepYunker for bringing this to light. Can Oregonians afford another 10% of their income to go to taxes?
Below is the state’s own modeled rates. And no, those aren’t typos. Oregon’s Universal Health Plan board is modeling an ADDITIONAL 10.1% healthcare income tax and 9.6% employer payroll tax to finance its universal healthcare proposal.
@ORDems 2% of Oregon voters think this is a priority issue. abortion is codified and deeply protected in Oregon's state statutes. Thanks for gaslighting
NEW: Oregon's Dan Lanning ends his presser saying he's 3-0 against USC:
"If you're interested in winning football games, you're from this area, you should go to Oregon. You want to go to a Chris Brown concert, you should go here (USC)."

In just his fourth football game, Trent Ferguson faced future Oregon teammate Teitum Tuioti.
Ducks coaches pointed at the massive OL and asked, “Who’s that guy?”
On the kid from Salem whose basketball injury led him to the trenches. #GoDucks#opreps

It's a dream that the Marist baseball program has been waiting for over the last 50+ years and on Saturday the program finally achieved it. With a 4-3 win over No.12 Tillamook, the Spartans would finally secure the program's first-ever title. https://t.co/aUyQs08vxq
