📌FEDERAL MINISTRY OF WOMEN AFFAIRS AND SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT TO FLAG-OFF GEE774 E-MOBILITY INITIATIVE

The Federal Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development will officially flag-off the GEE774 E-Mobility Initiative under the Green Economy Empowerment 774 (GEE774) Programme.

The event is scheduled to hold on
Tuesday, 2nd September 2026
At 8:00 AM in FCT, Abuja

The GEE774 Programme, championed by the Honourable Minister, Hajiya. Imaan Sulaiman Ibrahim fsi, is designed to drive sustainable economic empowerment for women and communities across the 774 Local Government Areas of Nigeria.

The E-Mobility Initiative will feature:
- Roll out of 1 Million Electric Vehicles
- Green Agents for Financial Inclusion
- Innovative credit facilities for women businesses

This initiative aligns with the Renewed Hope of His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Federal Republic of Nigeria, to promote clean energy, job creation, and economic opportunities for women.

•In 2007, Aregbesola ran for governor of Osun State with the backing of former Governor Akande, and won.

• In 2014, Aregbesola again contested the Osun gubernatorial election, this time supported by former Governors Adeleke, Akande, and Oyinlola, and won.

• In 2018, Oyetola entered the race with the support of former Governors Akande and Aregbesola, and won.

• In 2022, Adeleke secured victory with the backing of two of the three living former governors, Oyinlola and Aregbesola, leaving only Baba Akande to support Oyetola.

• In 2026, Ambo is in the Osun gubernatorial race with the support of three of the four living former governors:👇🔥

Akande, Oyinlola, and Oyetola. Meanwhile, former Governor Aregbesola is expected and predicted to back Najeem Salaam till the end, and Adeleke is left without a support base. In the end, Oyebamiji will emerge victorious.

BREAKING: Nigeria has taken a major step toward reviving the long dormant Ajaokuta Steel Complex after signing a gas supply agreement with the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC).

The deal will provide up to 50 million standard cubic feet of gas daily to power the steel plant, which has remained inactive for nearly five decades despite attracting more than $8 billion in investments.

The Federal Government plans to revive the facility through a public private partnership model as President Bola Tinubu pushes to achieve an annual steel production target of 10 million tonnes by 2030.
