Started the day with some of our dedicated @KCMO #publicworks crew members, who have been working hard everyday to get those potholes patched. 11,444 filled in Jan and Feb! Thank you for your hard work, especially in these freezing temps!
City leaders, @BikeWalkKC and project supporters are on the southeast corner of Armour Blvd and Gillham Road today to celebrate the City’s first parking-protected bike lanes. This project aligns with the city’s complete streets ordinance. 🚴♂️🚴🏻♀️
In #KCMO, the #KCStreetcar is funded by a self-sustaining "transit development district." @MayorSlyJames: The more business done, the more sales tax it produces, the better property taxes it produces, and business and employees and visitors thrive together.
City staff from @KCMOParks and Public Works and @Hall1stDistrict gathered this morning at the @KCStarlight and @kansascityzoo parking lot for the unveiling of new accessible parking signs with @VarietyKC and some amazing kiddos! KCMO is proud to make our city amenities inclusive!
Armour update: Parking lane striping up to Campbell is complete. Crews are striping at the Troost intersection today and will stripe from Campbell to Troost, weather permitting, tomorrow. Rolling right along! 🚴♂️👏😍
@dueynetsell@kc_cio@KCMOManager@MayorSlyJames Because we are also trying to balance emissions and air quality by reducing vehicular time spent idling, so you are doing double benefit by walking and pushing a button.
Oops. Turns out there's no explicit ordinance outlawing blockages of bike lanes. Absent a specific ordinance to point to, @kcpolice won't enforce. Pushing to close that gap in a hurry. @joliejustus
