@DAKKADAKKA1 This has been Canada Customs culture since the 80's at least. Before laptops and cellphones, they would take seats out of cars at a whim when looking for "undeclared" items you may have bought on the USA.

@RusGarbageHuman This is just normal operating procedure for Canada Customs. They used to take seats out of cars at the Windsor tunnel in the 80's, then you had to put the seats back in yourself - properly, or WPD would ticket you for unsafe driving.
