You invested a certain amount of money (let’s say N10m) with a notable portfolio investor who assured you of a guaranteed ROI after 4 years. You both agreed to expand and roll over if everything works well to make it 8 years.

Three years down the line, the notable investor comes back to you, saying the investment hasn’t gone as planned. All your N10m has been lost. They are blaming their competitors (other investors) for manipulating ther market when they are the ones who actually make decisions on your investment.

Here is the hot take: the investor is now telling you to trust him and his company with another N10m. This time, they are promising to deliver your initial 10m in capital that was lost, plus all the ROI they failed to deliver over those 3 years, by the end of the 8th year.

My question to you is this: will you trust someone who has failed woefully for 3 years despite having all the power to make it right with another penny?

You know your answer, right?
