Life is amazing:
-gyms exist
-Christopher Nolan movies exist
-hot girls outnumber even moderately put-together dudes 2000 to 1
-you and your wife can get drunk at a dimly-lit steakhouse then go home and watch Titanic and smash all night without a condom
-you and your friends can hit the gym then smoke a joint at a Coldplay concert
-every food item in the world has been hunted and gathered for you (grocery stores)
-you could be working 16 hour days in a coal mine in a third world country
-you’re spinning on a sphere in an infinite universe and the fact you’re alive is a 1 in 500 trillion miracle
If anyone ever complains in front of you tell them they’re an idiot :)
The gap between “relax” and “work harder on bigger things” will be the largest voluntary psychological and existential divergence in our species’ history.
One group will be chilling in customized paradise while the other group is essentially becoming post-human demigods trying to steer the future of the light cone.
It's taken me a bit of time for me to come to this conclusion but, I find that writing software is a deeply social endeavour. The system built on bits will only be as good and as effective as the human-ware surrounding it.
@_bigzoo I think people massively underestimate the level of scale they must have had to architect for. I feel like even as an attempt it was quite commendable shite as it may have been
@davidamunga_@PeterOkwara I think it's a decent distribution channel ... @SafaricomPLC simply needs to push the MPesa app as a super app more aggressively in their marketing and copy ... Otherwise yes, I agree ... The Open Web always wins 😂
