Breast Cancer Screening

Total screened: 202
- Abnormal findings: 9 (all referred for further assessment)
- Breast abscess: 1 (drained on-site)

Day 4 of our free cervical cancer screening outreach brought us to Wakivuvwa, one of the most remote parts of Kitui County. The response was overwhelming, with women turning out in large numbers to take advantage of the free screening services.
The encouraging turnout reflects increasing community confidence in cervical cancer screening and the value of early detection. The outreach continues to improve equitable access to essential cancer prevention services, ensuring that women receive timely screening, appropriate clinical management, and referral for specialized care where necessary.
Together with our partners, we remain committed to expanding access to early detection because early detection saves lives.
