He stated unequivocally that no hegemonic interference will be tolerated in its implementation. Insha'Allah, should Jamaat-e-Islami be entrusted with state governance, the first stroke of transformative action will be dedicated to the Teesta; a powerful challenge to external dominance.

Our vision is for North Bengal to become the Capital of the Agricultural Revolution. Guided by the Ameer’s sustainable framework, we envision a flourishing landscape of agro-based industries where farmers finally receive the fair value of their labor. Through advanced preservation, streamlined marketing, and comprehensive public security, the quality of life in the north will reach unprecedented heights.

The far-reaching plans for domestic, foreign, and joint-venture investments signal the dawn of a new horizon. Never before has anyone championed the cause of North Bengal’s common people with such audacity. Insha'Allah, this land of resilient workers is poised to reclaim its lost glory.

লোক-লোকান্তর, কালের কলস, সোনালী কাবিন, বখতিয়ারের ঘোড়া - এরকম দুর্দান্ত জনপ্রিয় কাব্যগ্রন্থগুলোর লেখক হলেন কবি আল মাহমুদ।

মানবতাবাদী ও বিশ্বাসী ক্ষণজন্মা এই কবি ১৯৩৬ সালে ব্রাহ্মণবাড়িয়াতে জন্মগ্রহণ করেন। লেখালেখি শুরু করেন ৫০'র দশকে। লেখালেখি শুরু করার পর তাকে পাঠকপ্রিয় একজন কবি হতে খুব বেশি বেগ পেতে হয়নি।

সরাসরি রাজনীতির সাথে যুক্ত না হলেও জীবনের শুরুর দিকে কবির লেখায় বামপন্থার প্রভাব ছিলো সুস্পষ্ট। জাসদের পত্রিকা দৈনিক গণকন্ঠ পত্রিকার সম্পাদক হিসেবেও কাজ করেছেন এককালে।

১৯৭৪ সালে বামপন্থী চিন্তাধারার প্রচারক উক্ত পত্রিকার সম্পাদক থাকাবস্থাতে কবি আল মাহমুদ গ্রেফতার হন।

এরপর কবি ধীরে ধীরে ইসলামের প্রতি অনুরাগী হন। আগের বামপন্থার প্রভাব থেকে তাঁর কবিতা, লেখালেখিও মুক্ত হয়।
কবিকে যখন প্রশ্ন করা হলো যে, প্রাথমিক জীবনে কবি বামপন্থী চিন্তাধারার হলেও, সেখান থেকে সরে এসে কেন ইসলামী ভাবধারার দিকে ঝুঁকলেন? তখন তিনি তার জবাবে বলেন -"আমি যে পরিবারে জন্মেছি, সেই পরিবারের সবাই ছিলো খুবই ধর্মপ্রাণ লোক। তাদের মধ্যেই যে রয়েছে সত্যিকারের পথের ঠিকানা, কিভাবে যেনো এটা আমাকে দূর থেকে ইশারায় ডাকতো।"

মানবতাবাদী, উম্মাহ দরদী বিশ্বাসী এই কবি আকাঙ্ক্ষা করতেন, তিনি যেনো পবিত্র শুক্রবারে ইন্তেকাল করেন। 'স্মৃতির মেঘলাভোরে' কবিতায় কবি আল-মাহমুদ ঠিক এভাবেই বলেছিলেন বিষয়টা-

"কোনো এক ভোরবেলা, রাত্রি শেষে শুভ শুক্রবারে
মৃত্যুর ফেরেশতা এসে যদি দেয় যাওয়ার তাকিদ
অপ্রস্তুত এলোমেলো এ গৃহের আলো অন্ধকারে
ভালোমন্দ যা ঘটুক মেনে নেবো এ আমার ঈদ।"

মহান আল্লাহ সুবহানাহু ওয়াতাআ'লা ঠিকই তাঁর হৃদয়ের আকুলতা কবুল করেছেন। ২০১৯ সালের ১৫ ফেব্রুয়ারি শুক্রবারে মৃত্যুর ফেরেশতা এসে বাংলা সাহিত্যের এই ধ্রুবতারাকে নিয়ে গেছেন। ইন্না-লিল্লাহি ওয়া-ইন্না ইলাহি রাজিউন।

আল্লাহ কবির কবরকে ফিরদাউসের ফুল বাগানে পরিণত করুন, এই কামনাই করি জগতের রব রব্বুল আলামিনের নিকট।

I'll admit, as a disbeliever, I thought the Quran was a strange book of violence, intolerance, and outdated ideas from the medieval Arabian desert.

But when I finally bothered to read the Islamic book, I discovered the truth...

The Quran is actually AMAZING! It's a beautiful source of wisdom, guidance, and truth.

My ignorance gone, I fully embraced Islam and it was the greatest decision I ever made.

If you hate the Quran but haven't bothered to learned a single thing about what it says, then YOU are the problem, not Islam.

এরা কি জুলাই বিপ্লবকে সত্যি বুকে ধারণ করে?
ক্ষমতার জন্য অন্ধ হয়ে গেছে?

আজকের বৈঠক ছিল আমাদের দীর্ঘ সংগ্রামের আরেকটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ধাপ। আমরা স্পষ্ট করে দিয়েছি যে অপশাসন, যে ফ্যাসিবাদ আমাদের দেশের গণতন্ত্রকে গলা টিপে হত্যা করেছে, তা আর কখনোই ফিরতে দেওয়া যাবে না।

জাতীয় নাগরিক কমিটির পক্ষ থেকে আমরা তিনটি মূল দাবি উত্থাপন করেছি:
1.নতুন সংবিধান, যা জনগণের সত্যিকারের ক্ষমতায়নের প্রতিফলন ঘটাবে।
2.গণপরিষদ নির্বাচন, যার মাধ্যমে জনগণের প্রকৃত প্রতিনিধিত্ব নিশ্চিত হবে।
3.আওয়ামী লীগের বিচার, যারা গণতন্ত্রকে গুম করেছে, যারা ছাত্র-জনতার রক্ত ঝরিয়েছে, তাদের বিচারের আওতায় আনতে হবে।

আমরা বলেছি, আওয়ামী লীগ এখন রাজনীতিতে একটি মৃত কাঠামো। এদের আর ঘুরে দাঁড়ানোর সুযোগ দেওয়া যাবে না। এদের প্রথমে নিবন্ধন বাতিল করতে হবে, তারপর চূড়ান্ত নিষিদ্ধ ঘোষণা করতে হবে।

আমরা আপসের রাজনীতি চাই না। ফ্যাসিবাদের দোসরদের বিচার চাই। যারা ছাত্র আন্দোলনের কর্মীদের হত্যা করেছে, যারা রাষ্ট্রযন্ত্রকে দলীয় অস্ত্রে পরিণত করেছিল, তাদের বিচারিক প্রক্রিয়ায় কোনো ছাড় দেওয়া যাবে না।

এই মাসেই নতুন রাজনৈতিক শক্তির উত্থান ঘটবে। নতুন সংবিধান রচনার লড়াইয়ে আমরা সবাই একসঙ্গে থাকব। যারা গণতন্ত্রের পক্ষে, যারা সত্যের পক্ষে, তারা এই লড়াইয়ে আমাদের সঙ্গী হবে।

আজকের বৈঠকে ২৬টি রাজনৈতিক দল ও জোটের শতাধিক প্রতিনিধি উপস্থিত ছিলেন। জাতীয় ঐকমত্য কমিশন এখন সেই সব সংস্কারের সুপারিশ নিয়ে এগিয়ে যাবে, যা বাংলাদেশকে একটি সত্যিকারের গণতান্ত্রিক রাষ্ট্রে পরিণত করবে।

আমরা স্পষ্ট করে বলেছি আমাদের সংগ্রাম আপসের জন্য নয়, আমাদের সংগ্রাম ন্যায়বিচারের জন্য। যারা গণহত্যা চালিয়েছে, যারা রাষ্ট্রকে ব্যক্তিগত লুটের মাল বানিয়েছে, তাদের বিচার বাংলার মাটিতেই হবে।

বাংলাদেশের ভবিষ্যৎ নতুন প্রজন্মের হাতে, আর সেই ভবিষ্যৎ হবে এক নতুন, ন্যায়ের বাংলাদেশ।
