Why We Felt the Need for a Muslim History Month
At its core, Muslim History Month is about building an archive, one that reflects the richness and diversity of Muslim experiences across time, space and geography.

On behalf of the Christians of the #MiddleEast, and of all women and men of good will, I appeal to those responsible for this conflict: cease fire! May paths of dialogue be reopened! Violence can never lead to the justice, stability and peace for which the peoples are waiting.
Muslims worldwide often face institutional discrimination, socio-economic exclusion, biased immigration policies & unwarranted surveillance & profiling.
This International Day to Combat Islamophobia, let’s re-commit to the equality, human rights & dignity of every person, no matter their faith.
I continue to be saddened by the immense suffering of the Palestinian people in Gaza. In recent hours, in the dramatic situation in the Middle East, some significant steps forward have been taken in peace negotiations, which I hope will achieve the desired results as soon as possible. I ask all those in positions of responsibility to commit themselves to this path, to bring about a ceasefire and to release the hostages. Let us #PrayTogether so that the ongoing efforts may put an end to the war and lead us towards a just and lasting peace.

The UN General Assembly has adopted a resolution demanding an immediate & permanent ceasefire in Gaza.
The resolution also demands full, rapid, safe & unhindered humanitarian access in Gaza & the immediate release of all hostages.

Hate speech in any form is unacceptable.
Let's unite to create a diverse and inclusive world, eradicate discrimination, and promote tolerance.

We are devastated after the loss of Nasser Hamdi Abdelatif Al Shalfouh on 10 October, our colleague, who was killed by shrapnel injuries to his legs and chest he suffered on 8 October in Jabalia, north Gaza.
Jabalia has been under attacks by Israeli forces since 7 October.
Nasser joined MSF as a driver in March 2023, but has not been working since the war started as MSF activities in north Gaza were severely affected.
After being injured, he received care at Al Awda Hospital for his injuries before being moved to Kamal Adwan Hospital, where he could not get adequate care.
For over a year, Israeli forces have dismantled the health system in Gaza, impeding access to life-saving care for people. Medical evacuations within Gaza are also extremely difficult, as the north is largely cut off from the rest of Gaza, further making it difficult for people to access care.
We are horrified by the killing of our colleague which we strongly condemn, and call yet again for the respect and protection of civilians. In this tragic moment, our thoughts are with Nasser’s wife and two children and rest of his family, and all colleagues mourning his death.
UNIFIL statement:
Early this morning, peacekeepers at a UN position in Ramyah observed three platoons of IDF soldiers crossing the Blue Line into Lebanon.
I call for an immediate ceasefire in all theatres of conflict in the Middle East, including Lebanon. Let us #PrayTogether for the Lebanese people, especially for residents in the south who have been forced to flee their homes. May they soon be able to return and live in #Peace.
In #Gaza, essential supplies, such as oxygen concentrators, surgical equipment, and generators, have been delayed or blocked by Israeli authorities repeatedly. @MSFSouthAsiaGD writes.

I am saddened by the news coming from #Lebanon about bombings, death, and destruction. May the international community make every effort to stop this terrible escalation. It is unacceptable. I express my solidarity with the Lebanese people, who have already suffered too much.
📍Jenin, West Bank
Between 28 August and 6 September 2024, Israeli forces launched a large-scale military incursion into several cities in the #WestBank.

@Narwal_inc@kharge@RahulGandhi@priyankagandhi Mubarak!! I have seen your struggle. It’s your hard work and leadership that have enabled Congress to secure seats in UP, establish an organizational structure in Bundelkhand, and successfully implement the Bharat Jodo Yatra roadmap in North India. Congratulations again
