This is the 49ers' offense:

-Their best player is a 29-year-old gadget guy who averaged 3.9 yards per carry this season. Their entire offense goes through him.

-Their tight end is 32 and probably won't play much next season due to a torn Achilles. And if he does return, he probably will be diminished.

-Their left tackle turns 38 in July and is in decline.

-Their offensive line is not imposing and will lose its starting left guard this offseason.

-Their No. 1 wide receiver had only 643 yards and will be a free agent in a few months, and the 49ers should not re-sign him.

-Their 34-year-old fullback played 510 snaps this season.

-Other than Connor Colby, who's terrible, none of their rookies got meaningful playing time to develop.

-Their franchise quarterback is small, he runs around a lot, and he puts up incredible numbers against dubious defenses. He also missed eight games, the 49ers won five without him, and in the final three games of the season, he had 2 touchdown passes, 4 interceptions, two fumbles, and his passer rating was 67.2. He gets paid $53 million per season and he has a no-trade clause.

-Their playcaller can't figure out anything that works against the Seattle Seahawks, who've held his offenses to 17 points or fewer in the past four meetings.
