I felt like crying today after hearing the story of this old man.
Norms I always met him in Ramadan evening tafsir every day. The old man you are seeing is more than 70 years old. They share iftar (food) every day in that mosque that's immediate after tafsir. (Since Ramadan Day 1)
Today, i noticed that the old man sat down in a separate angle secretly in tears 😢 💔 like first time seeing an old man in an extreme bad mood.
After the tafsir, we observe majrib prayer. I patiently waited for him to be on his way going home, then I moved near him to at least ask him that "What's going on?"
Alhamdullillahi, he responded, but with tears.
According to him, his greatest fear was that "How is he going to survive after Ramadan?"
I WILL ONLY PICK UP THE POINTS TO AVOID LONG TALK...
He lost his wife in just a few weeks to Ramadan.
His only child has left and never returned home since more than 8 years ago.
His late wife was a pap (EKỌ TUTU) seller during her lifetime. They both depend on the business 💔
The only way he keeps sustaining since the day one of Ramadan is just through the food he collects daily after Tafsir, and also one's in a while if the neighbour feels like to help him.
Now, Ramadan is gradually going to an end 😢
I followed him home, and his neighbours also confirmed it. They also told me more about how he's struggling.

I have learned that the lawless Department of State Services (DSS) has arbitrarily and unlawfully detained a social media influencer known as Sarki @Waspapping_.

He was reportedly arrested over comments he made about the Israel–Iran war, particularly criticisms directed at the State of Israel over its egregious warmongering and crimes against humanity in Gaza and elsewhere.

No Nigerian citizen should be arrested or detained simply for expressing opinions about the actions of foreign governments or commenting on ongoing international conflicts. Freedom of expression must apply equally to discussions about global affairs and acts of war involving foreign interests.

The DSS must therefore immediately release Sarki @Waspapping_ and end this unlawful detention.

Nigeria cannot claim to be a democracy while citizens are arrested for expressing views on international events.

How ₦1,450,000 of my hard-earned money disappeared from my Kuda account @joinkuda @kudahelp_ng and nobody is helping.

I am a recent graduate of the University of Ibadan.
An AgroPreneur.
Recognized as one of the most outstanding student AgroPreneurs in 2024 by NAAS South-West.

I built my businesses legitimately; selling men’s fashion items, sneakers, and supplying day-old chicks across Nigeria.

I don’t smoke.
I don’t drink.
I don’t do fraud.

I hustle. Legitimately.

On April 13, 2025, I received an email from Kuda Bank stating that a lien had been placed on my account due to a “fraudulent inflow.”

Fraudulent?

I was shocked.

The money in question ₦2,450,000 came from a transaction on Bybit (a crypto trading platform where I had saved and sold assets) but met #1,450,000 in my Kuda @kudahelp_ng @joinkuda

The buyers paid me.
I had receipts.
I had transaction evidence.
I released my assets only after confirming payment.

Yet my account was frozen.

When I contacted Kuda @joinkuda , I was told there was a court order linked to something called “Pyramid Bank” , a name I have NEVER heard of in my life.

It’s Nigeria, you people will say snake swallows money! How did money get from the bank in the first place?!

The payments I received were from Moniepoint accounts. I was only a second beneficiary.

Still, my money was locked.

I was told to get a lawyer.

The first lawyer asked for a percentage of the ₦1.45M immediately, money I did not even have access to.

At that time, I had just resumed my final year in school.
I had already lost my father after secondary school.
I lost my mother in 300 level.

I had no parents to run to.
Only myself and my brothers.

So I focused on graduating.

Then one day, during my semester exams, I checked my account.

The ₦1,450,000 was gone.

Not on hold.
Not pending.
Gone.

No transaction history.
No reversal trail.

Just gone.

I contacted Kuda again.@kudahelp_ng @kudabusiness
They said receipts were not enough.
They said I should get a court order.

How does a victim get a court order to recover his own legitimate earnings?

Another lawyer later told me quietly:

“Forget the money. Many people are in court already. No progress.”

So this is Nigeria?

Where criminals walk free…
But innocent youths lose their hard-earned money?

Where a young entrepreneur can trade legitimately, provide evidence, and still be punished?

I reported to the Central Bank of Nigeria on October 5, 2025.

No response.

I have:
– All receipts
– All emails
– The alleged court order copy
– Evidence of Bybit transaction
– Payment confirmations

I am not asking for sympathy.

I am asking for justice.

₦1,450,000 is not small money.
It represents sweat.
Late nights.
Legitimate hustle.

Nigeria should protect its honest youths ,not exhaust them.

People usually think that when siblings go to court, it must be about inheritance or land disputes. But this true story from Saudi Arabia is completely different and truly moves the heart

An elderly man named Hizam Al-Ghamdi had to stand in court against his own younger brother and they were not fighting over money but instead, each of them insisted on taking responsibility for caring for their frail, elderly mother

Hizam argued strongly that he wanted to continue caring for his mother as he had always done saying that she was his very life but his younger brother disagreed believing that Hizam himself was already old and needed res

The courtroom became emotional as both brothers pleaded before the judge for the honour of caring for their mother

Unsure of what to decide the judge brought their mother in and asked her to choose and her answer touched everyone—she said she could not choose because both of her sons were like her left and right eyes

Since the mother could not decide the judge had to rule based on reason

The court eventually granted custody to the younger brother due to his younger age and greater strength

When the decision was announced the atmosphere became sorrowful as Hizam broke down in tears

He did not cry out of fear or anger but because he felt he had "lost" the precious opportunity to continue serving his mother in her remaining days
