Interesting report.
A significant minority of elected politicians actively trade the market, and beat the market, which is not a great look when you write the laws, allocate money, and know what's coming down the pipeline.
Two days ago the NYT posted an investigation into politicians trading stocks
They found that 81 Democrats & 101 Republicans filed up to 3,700 trades and $100M in possible volume
Many had 100% winners, with some perfectly timed

Lost refining capacity since March 2020
Since mid-2020, the United States has lost the ability to process over 1 million barrels of crude per day. This is the largest drop on record.

For people saying that "corporate greed" is the main cause of inflation... corporations are always greedy. They didn't randomly get more greedy in 2022.
A lot of broad currency was created in a short period of time while real supplies (commodities, infrastructure) were limited.
