Crocodile is shot and airlifted by police then sliced open to reveal remains of missing businessman, 59

A desperate search for a missing businessman ended in the most horrifying way imaginable — inside the stomach of a crocodile.

Police in South Africa had been tracking the animal by drone, growing increasingly certain it had swallowed something it shouldn’t. What they found next would leave even seasoned officers shaken.

The crocodile was shot and airlifted from the area.

When it was finally cut open on the ground, their worst fears were confirmed.

Inside were human remains believed to belong to Gabriel Batista, 59 — a businessman who had vanished days earlier after being swept away in raging floodwaters.

Among the remains was his ring.

It was a small, deeply personal detail that turned a grim discovery into a devastating confirmation for those who knew him.

But the horror didn’t stop there.

Also found inside the animal were six other pairs of shoes — a chilling clue that has raised fears there may be more victims lost to the same stretch of water.

Mr Batista had reportedly tried to drive across a flooded bridge on his way back to his hotel and bar when disaster struck. His vehicle was dragged into the current and carried downstream, where the swollen river had already become a hunting ground.

It is still unclear whether he was alive when he was taken by the crocodile.

Authorities believe parts of his remains may also have been consumed by other animals in the river.

For those left behind, there are few answers only the brutal reality of what happened.

A split-second decision.
A moment of misjudgment.
And a force of nature that gave no second chances.

It’s a stark and sobering reminder of how quickly situations can turn fatal and how unforgiving the natural world can be when it does.

16 year olds don't want to vote

They just want a country to grow up in to. One they can call their own.
