fastdeploy

Fastdeploy is PXE-/metal-as-a-service for deploying OSes and apps over the Internet to physical, virtual and cloud.

[fastdeploy @fastdeploy]

@laffer1 iSCSI can be used to boot a live OS and/or to install an OS on to a disk image - but you still need to install OS (i.e., PXE/ISO)

[fastdeploy @fastdeploy]

@supadupac Surely. Fire away.

[fastdeploy @fastdeploy]

@marcelvandenber Yes it is. Blargh.

[fastdeploy @fastdeploy]

@fartoogone Yea. Maybe try sending the syslog or serial debugs to mcb30 (iPXE) on the server that doesn't boot and maybe he can find the bug

[fastdeploy @fastdeploy]

@fartoogone Can't load pxelinux without DHCP/TFTP so that's no go. If you've tried iPXE with both undi and the native drivers you're stuck.

[fastdeploy @fastdeploy]

@fartoogone you've tried sanbooting the ISO I assume. Or try chainload memdisk from iPXE: #!ipxe
imgfetch my.iso
chain memdisk iso raw

[fastdeploy @fastdeploy]

@itarchitectkev yes indeed! It's my hometown and I lived there until I was 13. Go to Pacific Beach if you can.

[fastdeploy @fastdeploy]

@itarchitectkev The weather is perfect in San Diego all year round and no matter the month

[NASA @NASA]

#MSL: Touchdown confirmed for @MarsCuriosity

[fastdeploy @fastdeploy]

@SoftLayer RAID10 / RAID1+0?

[fastdeploy @fastdeploy]

@etherealmind Don't think MS has ever made tablet hardware but several failed tablet versions of their OSes, though, going back to NT 4.

[fastdeploy @fastdeploy]

Just got a callI was about to receive spam from a vendor then inviting me to open it. Do I have SUCKER printed on my forehead?

[fastdeploy @fastdeploy]

@cloudtoad I like the acronym possibilities with antique networking protocols here: SNAaS; BVaS; IPXaS; ATaS - what else?

[fastdeploy @fastdeploy]

@alpesh_shah y

[fastdeploy @fastdeploy]

@garysimat you've been hacked

[fastdeploy @fastdeploy]

@karijobe http://twitpic.com/5l7yaa - I make these all the time for my kids. We call it "egg-in-a-hole." I should note these look perfect!

[fastdeploy @fastdeploy]

@MetalSamurai Perhaps, but you should have tried netbooting back when all there was RPL.
