For a variety of reasons, I'm experimenting with different places to share / engage with community. If you're interested in joining me, follow me at https://t.co/WNRCZYPYw7
SF Bay Area folks, come see the @BelovedEcon co-authors and contributors talk about how we might repair and re-imagine how we work next 6pm Thu Oct 20. Great speakers, great work! (I'm in their book.) https://t.co/gIpKLrpFrg
How might [biotech/your field here] take inspiration from pickup basketball? Love this essay about decentralized infrastructure by @eekim https://t.co/q7I85r01ht
Honored to be co-facilitating this workshop with Yi Zhang this Friday, October 1 at 5:30pm PT. Please join us! It will be an opportunity to make art (no skills necessary) while meeting other great changemakers. https://t.co/9WmuITryr1
Many thanks to @aydin for the great conversation about building collaboration muscles and mindsets on @fellowapp's #Supermanager podcast! https://t.co/7JuVqPeyz9
Facilitators way overestimate their ability to "read the room." In a way, pandemic times have been helpful for this (although people may not realize it). Because they can't do this on a video conference, facilitators are looking for other (hopefully better) ways to get feedback.
Cool finding that answers two questions: How do people read a room? And why do crowd emotions get amplified?
The answer: people focus on the most emotional faces, which leads them to overestimate the crowd's emotions & react more emotionally themselves! https://t.co/sw2qlBxeD8
Super kind. Turns out @DavidDaly44 has blogged about his yearly reflection process too, which I found to be smart, instructive, and well worth reading. https://t.co/tLKC7c5CjE
@CamillaGordon I use this as my template for retrospectives / evaluations, which is loosely based on Interaction Associate's Results / Process / Relationships model. I like this breakdown, because it's a reminder that it's not all about outcomes. https://t.co/yqQoBfddtk
@CamillaGordon Wrote this a while back. Framed more in the negative than the positive, but in short, I spend a ton of time early in my engagement working on goal-clarity, than use that for my assessment. https://t.co/krrY8hGkoF
“The muscles required to create a more equitable society are the same ones needed to be skilled collaboration practitioners, and they can only be developed through practice and repetition” @eekim @fasterthan20

I have 5 invites in my inbox to "co-create the future”.
I’ve architected, negotiated, led a lot of co-creation work. True co-creation. With stakeholders from diverse backgrounds (regionally, economically, politically, culturally) + some that hate each other.
What I've learned:
It's easier to have "more" as a goal than it is to specify "how much." But it's not just terrible strategically, it can have harmful consequences to your team. https://t.co/f7HvX8Cxql #strategy#equity#collaboration#leadership#systemschange
