I know you appreciate a good story. I hope you have time to read this one.

I last wrote to you at the conclusion of my team’s 2022 track season and was proud to share our accomplishments then. At that time, we had just taken some 4x1 relays, a 4x4 and a 400 hurdler to the state meet and came up short of medaling in the relays…

After our 2023 and 2024 season, pride is at a new high and I knew I HAD to give you an update and let it serve as yet another testimonial to FTC.

2023 saw my small southern NY FTC high school (and alma mater) boys track team bring home medals for 2nd in the 4x1 (Division II or all small schools with populations of 599 and below), 4th in the 4x1 (NYS Federation or all NYS schools in existence), 6th in the 100, and 6th in the 200. We set a new school and Section IV record in the boys 4x1, going 42.03. We took our 4x1 and 4x4 to New Balance Nationals in Philadelphia. It was so cool. Although I’ve only been head coach for 8 years, I thought I had surely reached my peak.

2024 ended up being magical. ⤵️
