There will be a point where AI does everything and money gets super weird but that in the back side of 2036. On the way to that, there will be a stretch where these companies gobble up the capital involved (buy and sell side) with all physical and intellectual labor and they go parabolic. I’d rather have capital in that and have some security while it happens.

@itsrosesm I have at least 4 ways to demonstrate… because when you’re a citizen these documents are fairly simple to produce. Voting is a right of citizens, not a human right. It’s reasonable to ask someone to prove who they are when voting.

If you tax something... you will get less of it. All responsible economics demonstrates that. Pointing at a handful of wishful studies to justify a bad idea is very common with amateurs in government. If it costs more to have a second home in New York vs Miami or any other place - the other place will win.

I am an Architect who often designs these properties. Any one of them will have 100’s of people occupied for years planning, constructing and maintaining the place.

I will not be buying one because I don’t have the means, few do, and I know the costs are very difficult to recover as an investment.

The people who do have the means can very easily take their means someplace else, deflating property values and the entire industry that feeds tens of thousands of small business construction professionals in this city. Hurting the people this tax is marketed to help.

@DanielSprarc I’d take my ID out, show whoever asked, and then go vote. I’ve voted legally in 4 different states in National elections. 2 of them required an ID with a signature to match what they had on record. 2 required a wink and a scribble in their log. That’s ridiculous.
