@OctopusEnergy In the winter our heating (ASHP) can double our house consumption. The EV can be x3 or x4 the house. We can choose when to charge the car to help the grid, but the ASHP needs to run all the time (when its cold), ~.9kW to be efficient as it’s heating radiators not a concreate slab

- turned off the heating ( ASHP)
- delayed cooking dinner
- delayed EV charging
- One day the sun came out and our solar took us though.
It’s hard for people already living energy efficient to turn anything of significance off.
