Today, the STU community came together in faith for a special celebration of the Holy Mass, offered with particular intention for our STU College of Law graduates preparing to take the Florida Bar Exam next week. ๐โ๏ธ
Together, we prayed for Godโs guidance, wisdom, peace, and strength as our graduates approach this important milestone. Father Rafael Capo offered a special blessing over our bar takers, sending them forward surrounded by prayer, encouragement, and the support of the entire STU community.
As they enter these final days of preparation, we continue to keep our graduates in our prayers and remind them that the entire STU Law community is behind them.

I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all Americans on the occasion of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. This anniversary stands as an invitation not only to celebrate the nationโs remarkable journey, but also to reflect upon the responsibilities that the sons and daughters of this country bear to one another, and to the generations who will inherit the nation that is being shaped today. https://t.co/jIio4BBg9v
As we celebrate the 250th anniversary of our Nation, we are reminded that true freedom is more than doing whatever we want. It is the freedom to pursue what is true, good, and holy. It is the freedom to become the men and women God created us to be. Let us honor this gift by striving to stay strong for others! A strong America is built by citizens who cultivate virtue, embrace responsibility, and use their God-given freedom in service of others.
I thank God for our country, pray for all who have defended these freedoms, and ask the Lord to continue blessing our nation as we fight to remain strong in body, mind, and spirit. ๐ช๐ผ๐บ๐ธโ๏ธ๐๐ผ
Happy 250th, America! ๐บ๐ธ As we celebrate 250 years of our Nation, let us be grateful for the timeless truth expressed in the Declaration of Independence: that we are endowed by our Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.
Those words remind us that our rights are not bestowed by any earthly power, but are gifts from God Himself. Happy Independence Day! Stay strong for God and Country, fit for the Kingdom! ๐บ๐ธโ๏ธ๐๐ผ
A grace-filled feast of Sts Peter & Paul at the Vatican with @Pontifex and our @StThomasUniv delegation! Blessed to pray at the tomb of St Peter and concelebrate Mass with the imposition of the Pallium to the new archbishops. United around the Successor of Peter, we renewed our mission to form leaders rooted in Christ and faithful to the Gospel.
What a grace-filled pilgrimage and mission trip to Rome for @StThomasUniv. In communion with Pope Leo XIV, we strengthened partnerships with @UniSantaCroce and the Holy See, serving the Churchโs mission and investing in young people. May Sts. Peter & Paul and St. Thomas of Villanova continue to guide us!
Strengthening Catholic higher education through collaborations between @StThomasUniv and @UniSantaCroce in Rome, advancing the New Evangelization and global academic partnerships in the fields of Theology, Ethical Leadership, and Communications. Thank you for your hospitality!
Happy 44th Anniversary of priestly Ordination to Pope Leo XIV! Ad multos annos! Let us pray for the Holy Father: May the Lord preserve him, and give him life, and make him blessed upon the earth, and deliver him not up to the will of his enemies. Amen.
Always a blessing to journey with young people in faith. So happy to catch up with @jpdenys29 in Sรฃo Paulo! We first met through the @ESTEEM_Lead capstone, where @StThomasUniv joins @StThomasMoreYAM and other campus ministries in forming young leaders for Church and society. Through many conversations, JP began to discern Godโs call and, after graduating from @yale entered Seminary. What a joy to see the work the Lord is doing in his life during his propedeutic year. JP, may God who began this good work in you bring it to fulfillment (Phil 1:6)! ๐๐ผ
Joining the excitement of the @NBA Finals, but even more excited that @StThomasUniv has inaugurated and blessed our newly renovated basketball courts! ๐๐๐ผ
Happy to bless these courts and pray that all who play here grow stronger in body, mind, and spirit. ๐ช๐ผ๐๐ผ
Today, as the US bishops consecrated the nation to the Sacred Heart of Jesus during the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, @StThomasUniv joined in the consecration together with @CatholicMiami High School students participating in the STU Impact Summer program.
Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us! ๐บ๐ธ๐ป๐ฆ๐๐ผ
The World Cup begins tomorrow, and many will watch the matches. Soccer reminds us of something we must not forget: life is not a race to show off on our own, but a path we learn to walk together. Anyone who does not know how to pass the ball, even if they have talent, has not yet understood the game. Anyone who does not know how to live with and for others has not yet understood life. #ApostolicJourney
Pope Leo is truly Fit for the Kingdom, calling us to stay strong in body, mind, and spirit: โโEveryone knows I play tennis now. I used to play American footballโฆ but I also played soccerโฆ A little exercise is good for everyone; we have to find ways to stay healthy: body, mind, and soul.โ ๐ช๐ผ๐พ๐โฝ๏ธ๐๐ผ
Thanks to all at @Uniitalo_ Catholic University in Sรฃo Paulo for the hospitality. Happy to celebrate the feast of St. Josรฉ de Anchieta in Brazil! Missionary, educator, poet, and one of the founders of Sรฃo Paulo, St. Josรฉ de Anchieta gave his life proclaiming Christ and serving the people of this land. May his zeal inspire many missionary disciples, bringing the Gospel with courage and joy. Sรฃo Josรฉ de Anchieta, rogai por nรณs! ๐ง๐ท๐๐ผ
โJust as Christ gives himself as food in the Eucharistic celebration, the procession shows that he is not confined to the church, but comes out to meet us.
Jesus travels the streets, crosses the squares and visits our neighborhoods, dwelling in the settings of our daily lives. He is a God who is close to us, who walks with his people, the Lord of history.
He is comfort to the weak, light for families, hope for the sick and peace for those who suffer. ย
The Christ who processes through the streets in the monstrance is the same one who identifies with the poor, the downtrodden, those who are alone and forsaken.โ โ Pope Leo XIV, Corpus Christi Mass in Madrid ๐ป๐ฆโ๏ธ๐ช๐ธ
