The Fatima Center will join Guardians of the Faith, who have launched a worldwide Novena to the Archangels Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael, from September 20-28, to pray for the end of the Culture of Death and paganism bedevilling our world. We invite all our readers and supporters to join us.

The novena will end on the eve of the traditional feast day of St. Michael. Many Catholic groups across 6 continents will participate to pray for :

> the protection of the unborn;
> the defense of all human life from conception to natural death;
> the conversion of all who advance the culture of death;
> and healing and sanctification for families and nations.

Guardians of the Faith also asks all participants to call upon the Souls in Purgatory – especially through the St. Gertrude prayer – to assist us with their prayers as well.

STATEMENT:

Following the Afghanistan Withdrawal Special Review Panel’s recommendation and at the direction of Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, the United States Marine Corps has upgraded the valor awards for the Marines of Company G, 2d Battalion, 1st Marines, who stood at Abbey Gate on 26 August 2021. After reviewing the original awards and determining that several had been inappropriately downgraded, these awards have now been upgraded to levels that more accurately reflect the extreme risk these Marines knowingly accepted and the lives they saved under direct enemy fire.

The Marines at Abbey Gate were positioned in the direct blast zone with minimal cover, fully aware of an imminent suicide attack, yet they held their ground to keep evacuation operations running. Their actions that day were heroic. The original awards did not reflect that reality. Today’s upgrades correct that injustice.

This outcome would not have happened without the personal leadership and commitment of Under Secretary of War for Personnel & Readiness Anthony Tata and Senior Advisor Stu Scheller who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure these Marines receive the recognition they deserve. Mr. Scheller personally shepherded this effort, driving the process forward until justice was done.

This outcome also demonstrates what the Afghanistan Withdrawal Special Review Panel was created to do: examine the full record, identify where the system failed our warfighters, and ensure accountability and fairness. The Department of War, under President Trump and Secretary Hegseth, is committed to getting this right. We will not allow valor performed at the point of friction to be diminished by bureaucratic or administrative shortcomings.

To the Marines of Company G and to every service member who stood at Abbey Gate: your actions were seen, your sacrifice was measured correctly, and your valor is now properly recognized.

The Panel will continue its broader work to ensure the lessons from 2021 are learned and that we never again place our warfighters in positions where their courage is not fully honored.

We owe the American people, the families of the fallen, and every service member who served in Afghanistan nothing less than the truth and the corrections that truth demands.

BREAKING: Where is the moral outrage!?

CHRISTIAN children as young as four (4) years old are being sold as sex slaves and worked to death in cobalt mines in the Congo. Sold by Islamist militias and trafficking networks while the world looks the other way. This is not a rumor. This is not a conspiracy theory. This is happening right now.

Where is the worthless United Nations? They have had peacekeepers on the ground in the DRC for over two (2) decades. Billions of dollars spent. Endless summits held to talk about the problems. Zero results for these children.

The UN is not a force for justice; it is a bureaucratic shield for inaction dressed up in diplomatic language.

Where is the institutional Left that claims to carry the banner of human rights? Quiet. Completely quiet. Because these children are CHRISTIAN, and that changes everything for people whose outrage is a performance, not a principle.

They told us Black Lives Matter. Apparently, that slogan has conditions attached to it that nobody put in the fine print because black CHRISTIAN children dying in mines and sold into sexual bondage cannot get sixty (60) seconds of attention from the same people who shut down cities over other causes.

This is what moral corruption looks like at its darkest. The kind that lets children suffer in silence because acknowledging it would demand something from the people in power, and they are not willing to pay that price.

We need to pray for all children who, worldwide, face these type conditions. Help them where you can and stand against those leaders and organizations that stand for nothing except their own selfishness!

If that number does not shock you, it should.

Anti-Catholic attacks continue across America, yet they remain some of the least-reported acts of religious hostility in the country. In a nation where Catholic voters represent one of the largest voting blocs and where faith communities are central to our civic life, the silence from many in the media and politics is deafening.

Where is the national outrage?

For more than 100 years, a defining aspect of every Marxist movement has been a violent attack on Catholicism. The pattern is not new. What is new is how casually it is dismissed.
