Living in this society at this time is gruesome. Debt peonage schemes are everywhere and almost inescapable. The cost of living crisis is so acute that it affects everyone - a fact that leads the middle class to neglect how disproportionate it is for workers. Mini-crises go off in people's lives and they add up. To say that people endure these crises with stoic resolve or strength or grit is already a passive aggressive thing to say, if not an abusive thing to say. As if surviving is now a cause for celebration. Soon I wonder if we can even utter the phrase "socialism or barbarism" anymore as we sink more into near total capitalist survivalism.

The Spanish government announced that the United States will not be able to use its military bases in Spain to carry out any attacks on Iran following recent military strikes by the United States and Israel against Tehran.

As a result, 15 US military aircraft left the Rota and Morón bases in southern Spain, with some heading to bases in Germany and France or other undisclosed locations.

Spanish Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares confirmed that Madrid will not allow the use of its bases for operations against Iran, emphasizing that these bases remain under Spanish sovereignty and that any military activity must comply with international treaties and the United Nations Charter.
