According to information available to Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor, Dr. Marwan Al Hams, a senior official in Gaza's Health Ministry, is also being subjected to daily torture sessions that have caused his heart to stop, placing his life in immediate danger.

Physicians for Human Rights Israel has warned that Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya, director of Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza, is now in immediate danger of being killed in Israeli occupation custody. His lawyer, Nasser Odeh, who visited him on 2 July at the underground Rakefet interrogation facility inside Nitzan Prison, said he barely recognized him. Dr. Abu Safiya was brought in shackled hand and foot, flanked by masked guards, his head, eyes, ears and neck covered in fresh injuries. He struggled to breathe and speak, could not sit upright without nearly collapsing, and seemed close to losing consciousness, too frightened to speak freely.

He told his lawyer that after his Supreme Court appeal was heard in June, guards entered his solitary cell and beat him with a hammer and batons, and that since his transfer to Rakefet on 24 June he has been beaten daily to the point of repeatedly losing consciousness, with no medical care. He said plainly: this is the last time you will see me, they brought me here to kill me. Held since December 2024 under the occupation's "Unlawful Combatants" law, without charge or trial, Dr. Abu Safiya saw his beatings escalate sharply only after he legally challenged his detention, and both his lawyer and PHRI are demanding his immediate transfer, an independent medical examination and his release, warning that any delay could cost him his life.

During Mr. Peter Obi's tenure as governor of Anambra State, workers were owed salary arrears for years. There were serious protests by the workers demanding 36 months of salary arrears. The arrears later rose to 42 months, and 232 workers died between 2006 and 2014 while being owed salaries. AUPCTRE took Governor Obi to court, and the court ordered that ₦1.5 billion be paid to the workers from the Anambra State account. Go and verify.

Peter handed this debt over to Gov. Obiano. Chief Willie Obiano inherited the debt incurred by Peter and started clearing the backlog from Obi's administration.

In 2023, Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo signed an out-of-court settlement to end the 14-year dispute that started during Obi's tenure. Soludo's action saved Anambra State ₦1.3 billion and offered the staff a chance to be re-employed after screening. The pictures below show some of those staff whom Peter Obi refused to pay. This was when Soludo called them for revalidation and they were re-employed. Peter truly destroyed Anambra and rendered many families hopeless and hungry during his time as governor. Is it this same Peter that wants to be our president or is there a different Peter?
