@BatmanRouges Im convinced people who say this haven't actually watched the Sopranos
Because beyond some superficial similarities, they couldn't be more different
@BatmanRouges I really enjoy Detective Comics #683 and #684
Nothing particularly crazy, but I love how Oz is drawn and it was the introduction of the Iceberg Lounge
The alcoholic noir Spider-Man named "Ben" directly showcases the exact core traits of Peter Parker in a way that hasn't been present in the Sonyverse/MCU projects in a long while.
Here's a guy who's had nothing handed to him, has suffered a great loss, and who is always on the edge of wanting nothing to do with the powers he's been given. Creative, bursting at the threads with passion. This is how you take IP that has heavy restrictions and do something so fresh but also deeply representative of the mythos.
I fucking loved this shit man. Do more of this.
Video soon.
Something I love about Reeves-verse Penguin, specially in the movie is how he is the only chaaracter who is straight up funny and obnoxius in a rather serious movie It mirros how classic Penguin stood out as the "campy" villain in the 70s-90s when everyone was a murderer
