We were taken aback to hear the Time TV journalist say, 'Shoot him, brother.' Now it has come to light that a journalist from DBC himself attacked with weapons alongside Shamim Osman. Many more such pieces of information will gradually emerge.

In a revealing episode of 'Tritiyo Matra', hosted by Zillur Rahman, former military officers Major Rejaul Karim and Captain Dr. Khan Sobayel Bin Rafiq unfolded first-hand accounts of the investigation and aftermath of 2009 BDR massacre, terming it as a ‘cold-blooded genocide’.

India has lost Bangladesh. Despite India's crucial military intervention at the end of 1971 that ensured first the defeat of the Pakistan military after a nine month war, and then the independence of the country, there has for some time been a significant anti-India feeling in Bangladesh that waxed that waned depending on the political situation in both countries.
The irritation/anger perhaps started when Indian products flooded the Bangladesh market in 1972, impacting upon Bangladesh's manufacturing industry devestated during the war. And as years went on there was always the sense that India being an overly influential big country neighbour. In addition there was perhaps a communal element to the anger, with India being a dominant Hindu nation, whilst Bangladesh, a muslim one.
However, the Indian government's total and criticual support for the Awami League in recent years, irrespective of lack of free and fair elections, terrible human rights record and increasing authoritarianism - along with India prime minister's Modi's anti-muslim rhetoric - had in recently years ratcheted up the the anger towards India. And, it was the Indian government's continued support for the Awami League even after the law enforcement killings started on July 16 which was the nail in the coffin. It will take many many years before the Indian government can come back from this.

Bangladesh is rising from the ashes. Picture this: a physically challenged beggar, with barely anything to his name, contributing to a common fund for flood victims. He doesn't have much, but his tender heart connects him to the rest of the nation. This is a nation of resilience, a nation that cannot be defeated. The world should hang its head in shame for allowing this incredible country to suffer under the rule of a tyrant for 15 long years without taking action.
I urgently call for humanitarian aid and relief for the victims of the recent devastating floods in Bangladesh. This disaster has the potential to cause a severe humanitarian crisis. I strongly appeal to everyone to support our afflicted brothers and sisters in Feni, Lakshmipur, Noakhali, Cumilla, and other affected areas.

Rahul Anand's home and musical instruments were not deliberately burned. A fire was set to an Awami League establishment next to his home, and that fire accidentally spread to his residence, destroying everything. According to Rahul Anand, the fire was unintentional, and they were forced to leave their home with only the clothes on their backs as the house was engulfed in flames. It's unfortunate that the truth wasn't fully disclosed.
Dr. Yunus did not engage in any minority-majority discussions. In his 4-minute speech, he broke communal stereotypes by saying, "Don't ask for the rights of Hindus or Muslims. Ask for human rights. There is one law. If the rule of law is ensured, everything will be fine."
Using the example of Grameen Bank, he said, "When I approached poor women with the Grameen Bank, I never noticed whether they were Muslim or Hindu. There was no need to."
He spoke about conspiracies, saying, "Don't get trapped in any category. If you do, they are ready to hunt you down. The system is rotten. Give me a little time. If I fail, then you can speak."
In his 4-minute speech, there was no provocation, no emotional drama, no crying, no attempt to place blame, no need to apologize, and no effort to respond to propaganda. He simply destroyed the game that the Indian media had been playing for the past 10 days—in just 4 minutes.
