🚨BREAKING: Didier Drogba says if the USA didn't want other Countries citizens in the US they shouldn't have bid for the Fifa world cup 2026 and says denial of Iran supporters and Somali referee Omar Artan is totally unacceptable, Football should be separated from politics
"When a country bids to host the biggest football tournament on the planet, it knows exactly what comes with it. Players, referees, officials and supporters from every corner of the world are part of the package."
"I look at the situation involving Somali referee Omar Artan and I feel disappointed for him. FIFA selected him because he earned that opportunity on merit, yet he was unable to participate after being denied entry."
"Then you hear about Iran's football federation claiming that its supporter ticket allocation was withdrawn just days before the tournament. If true, that leaves ordinary fans paying the price for issues that have nothing to do with football."
"The people suffering are not politicians. They're supporters who save money for years hoping to follow their national team at a World Cup."
"Football has always been one of the few things capable of bringing different cultures together. The moment politics starts deciding who gets to be part of that experience, everyone loses."
"I played in World Cups and international tournaments. The beauty of those events is seeing supporters from dozens of countries sharing the same streets, the same stadiums and the same passion."
"No fan should be judged because of their nationality, and no referee should miss the biggest moment of his career because of political circumstances beyond his control."
"FIFA, governments and football authorities need to find solutions because the headlines right now are about visas, travel restrictions and disputes instead of the football itself."
"The World Cup should belong to the world. That's what makes it special. The game must always come first, and politics should never be allowed to overshadow football's greatest celebration."
Once I thought you were a diplomat and you had deeper understanding of diplomacy! You only exposed your weaknesses in governance & lack of integrity in faith. Israel doesn’t even have a recognition, let alone to grant you one. You are nothing but a shameful traitor.
The old guard of Somalia, President Siad Barre, Gen. Samatar, Gen. Afrah, Gen. Dafle, each left behind just one home, their lives devoted to the nation, not to greed.
They were true sons of the soil. Today’s politicians serve foreign masters, not their own people, selling Somalia’s dignity for scraps. Remember the patriots who built, not the puppets who beg and sold the country . 🇸🇴

Once upon a time (1973–1974), a generation fought ignorance, wrote script and raised literacy from 15% to 67%.
Today, in 2025, the Damjsdiid visionaries have a new mission: erase identity, discard heritage, and replace language with a shiny imported “Bantuphone.” Bravo, progress!
President Ruto Delivers 200,000 Homes as President Hassan Faces Displacement Scandal
Kenya’s President @WilliamsRuto this week officially announced that more than 200,000 families have been provided with homes over the past two years under the government’s Affordable Housing Programme.
The initiative forms a central part of Ruto’s broader plan to tackle poverty and unemployment across Kenya.
In stark contrast, Somalia’s President @HassanSMohamud is facing mounting criticism both domestically and internationally after the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) revealed that over 142,000 poor and vulnerable residents had been forcibly evicted from Mogadishu and surrounding districts.
According to the UN report, the displacements were linked to land deals involving businessmen with close ties to the presidency, who have been accused of buying public land from the government at the expense of low-income communities.
Analysts of the Horn of Africa have described the two presidents’ approaches as “a study in leadership contrasts — one building homes for his people, and the other demolishing those of the poor.”
What’s your take?
@AbdiwahabSheik7@ahmednasirlaw
Lumumba is the biggest fraud! He talks nonstop about Pan-Africanism, but it’s all about the money for him. What’s really destroying #Kenya is the corruption and greed of these so-called pseudo-intellectuals
This Sheikh is absolutely right. #Puntland has been blatantly ignored by everyone, including the useless government. There’s been no help whatsoever, not even for getting the injured to local hospitals, no military aid, nothing. The failed President of Somalia has turned the entire government into a joke, making it all about his own clan while abandoning the rest of the country.
For decades, the Somali people of Kenya have been subjected to neglect, injustice, and the denial of their rightful place as citizens. Under the leadership of the past four Presidents, the Somali province—its land and people—has been marginalized and left behind. This enduring exclusion has long been a source of pain and frustration.
However, today, I stand proud to witness a new dawn. President @WilliamsRuto has broken the longstanding cycle of neglect. He is the first Head of State to treat the Somali community with the respect and recognition they rightfully deserve as citizens of Kenya, through appointing Somali individuals to key positions in government based on their merit and qualifications, not their ethnicity.
For the first time in 62 years, a President has spent the night in the Somali region, signaling a commitment to their inclusion. He has also abolished the vetting process for Somalis applying for national identity cards and passports, a significant step toward equality.
A major infrastructure project is underway, with a 750-kilometer road network connecting Marsabit to Mandera, and perhaps most significantly, an accurate census of the Somali population is being conducted, ensuring they are properly recognized and represented.
Having lived in Mandera as a young boy, I’ve witnessed the struggles and resilience of Somali Kenyans. Now, for the first time, they are receiving the recognition they’ve long been denied, marking a new chapter that speaks to the integrity of the current administration.
Siyaad Barre invited all the shuyukhs including Sheikh Abdirashid Ali Sufi to join his government in an effort to make amends for the past, but they declined.
I see Somalia's President @HassanSMohamud is in Nairobi. Apparently, he is lobbying H.E @WILLIAMSRUTO to support his fraudulent and illegal scheme of one man one vote when in essence he is no more than a glorified mayor of Mogadishu. With ZERO support from the federal units, President Hassan wants President Ruto to put pressure on the head of Jubaland President Ahmed Mathobe to support his scheme to rig himself in the next election. Kenya (@MusaliaMudavadi@SingoeiAKorir) should tell him point blank that the one man one vote he peddles is unrealistic and totally untenable. Instead of building a viable goverment, President Hassan wasted the last two years digging up graves and selling the land to businessmen. He also over concentrated in ensuring that the profit @TheVillaSomalia gets from the MIRAA trade increases exponentially, month after month. Hassan is reaping his poor and failed leadership and wasted a golden opportunity in state building. If he can't persuade the Presidents of Jubaland and puntland to agree on how their run their affairs, why does he think President Ruto will help him execute his TRANSPARENTLY fraudulent scheme? It's time for President Hassan to smell the coffee, stop the senseless corruption that defines his office and see to it that his tenure ends peaceful and with a transparent and fair election that elects his successor.
