My direct ancestor who signed the DOI had similar to Unitarian beliefs like Adams, Jefferson and Madison and even Franklin. John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, Ben Franklin, Thomas Paine, Paul Revere and others were largely Diast (banned) and Unitarian (banned as Unitarian Universalist). Ben Rush a DOI signer was the first Universalist.
