For years, the US has failed to get justice for Americans – those killed on the West Bank & detained by the Israeli govt – or accountability for Palestinians who are being brutalized with the govt's complicity.
This week I will force a vote on this resolution to get answers.
@RepRashida Thank you so much Congresswoman Rashida! Truly appreciate you spotlighting my sister situation to free her back to her kids while the US embassy in Jerusalem is doing nothing about it!
Free Naqaa Hamed. The Israeli apartheid regime is wrongfully detaining another U.S. citizen while our government does nothing to protect her.
Naqaa is a journalist, who—like the hundreds of Palestinian journalists killed in Gaza and the nearly 40 others in Israeli detention—was targeted for exposing the truth.
Another American citizen wrongfully detained by the Israeli govt.
Naqaa Hamed, an American journalist, was stopped by the IDF, interrogated about her work, & now faces bogus espionage allegations.
The Israeli govt should immediately release Naqaa, NOW.
@ChrisVanHollen Thank you Mr. Hollen for standing with the American people. Your words restore faith that we still can be protected and heard as American people. From me, Dr. fatema Salem , Naqaa sister and my whole family sending our voice to work toward releasing my sister naqaa.
Israeli forces pointed their guns at our Press TV correspondent from the West Bank as she was reporting on #October7. I was terrified by what I saw and so inspired by my colleague, making the word "resilience" kneel before her.
“October 7th was not a surprise, it was not a beginning, and it was never the full story.”
These voices refuse to let history be rewritten. A Palestinian woman remembers her grandmother’s murder, her family’s home demolished, her childhood scarred by checkpoints and violence. A Rabbi reminds us that Judaism stands for justice, not oppression, and that silencing dissent by labelling it anti-Semitism is a betrayal of humanity. These testimonies reveal a chilling truth: October 7th is used as a marker, but the suffering began long before
