Yesterday I watched “Soul” to remind myself that maybe the purpose of life isn’t always finding some big purpose. It’s simply being present enough to enjoy being alive.
Yearning for companionship as an adult is one of the loneliest feelings. It’s not that you can’t be alone. You can take yourself out, build a life, stay busy and learn to enjoy your own company. But sometimes you don’t want independence. You want someone to come home to. Someone to tell the little things to. Someone who knows your day, your thoughts, your habits and the parts of you that no one else sees.
