I am using Mobiledex to make code changes to itself while waiting for The Mandalorian & Grogu to start. It’s also been pushed to CI from inside the app. What I love about this is that it is all occurring from inside the app without depending on an actual Mac, just GPT 5.5.
As I keep working on my experiment of native vibe coding for iOS, Mobiledex is at a point where it is able to make changes to itself and push to CI. This particular reaction of it wanting more made me laugh.
@OpenAIDevs GPT 5.5 is cooking!
I have been using lots of tools to help get the app into shape in such a small amount of time. There’s Codex itself, of course. But OpenClaw from @steipete has done a lot (autonomously) for me too!
Finally! We have Codex on the ChatGPT app!
But what if you want to do simple changes directly on the phone without a computer? That’s what I asked myself and have been playing with the idea. I call it Mobiledex (working app name).
Here’s a neat fact about this project: it uses part of the Codex open source code in the form of an XCFramework.
It also has Git for all version control needs because I wasn’t happy using alternative means to bring in/send out projects.

I have been trying to get an app into the Mac App Store for weeks now and I keep getting rejected because they cannot be bothered to read the app’s description, app review saying I need to put info that is already there.
Then there’s this.
It’s been a while!
I have released a brand new app called Today Notes for both iOS and Mac that focuses on what could be called ephemeral, daily notes. You can check it out here: https://t.co/QcSGflCd2Q

I think my relationship with app review has gotten so adversarial that each time I see a rejection I just feel fury without reading the reason first. This time it quickly subsided because I consider the rejection reason legit and I thank the reviewer for being clear.
I was finally sold on the idea of using a Stream Deck for productivity. I got an XL version on sale and it arrived today. I am liking it so far! I am even using it to control my office’s smart things, like the lights. Once it is fully configured to use profiles, it’s gonna soar.
The new Avatar movie was cool. A thrilling, visual spectacle. At the risk of sounding old, it’s not the same impact the first one had 10+ years ago — that one I did see in theaters four times!
I saw Black Adam on HBO Max. Honestly, expected worse based on what I’d heard about the film. Ended up being a nice way to turn off my brain on a Friday night.
I finally decided to dust off the Mastodon account I created years ago. I even set up crossposting from https://t.co/RDZRsrpFJW.

I doubt I’ll start posting more, though 🙃
I upgraded from the series 4 to the Apple Watch Ultra. I am never going to use it to its full potential, but what sold me was the bigger screen and more rugged design. I actually agree with reviews that it doesn’t feel as big/heavy as expected.
