ESIC Medical College,#Chennai Medical student Alleges Threats, Harassment By HOD forensic MEDICINE Over Mess Fund Irregularities

A medical professional alleges continuous threats and harassment after raising concerns about non-transparency in hostel mess funds and filing RTI applications.
★ On 5 January 2025, the complainant was summoned to the HOD’s chamber and allegedly asked to switch off their phone, after which verbal threats and abusive language were used in the presence of multiple faculty members.

• The threats were allegedly linked to complaints, emails, and RTIs regarding mess fund irregularities.

• After informing the Dean’s office, the complainant claims to have received repeated calls from the HOD and his PA, amounting to continued harassment.

• Serious conflict of interest concerns raised: the inquiry committee into mess fund irregularities is allegedly headed by the same HOD, while other named individuals also belong to the same department.

• Call logs and WhatsApp messages have reportedly been submitted as evidence.

This Dr Vijayanath, HOD FORENSIC MEDICINE, ESIC MEDICAL COLLEGE CHENNAI called me on 5 January 2026, locked me inside his chamber along with Dr Priyadarshan and Dr Kesawan (Both SR in FMT dept in same college) and one unknown person with college identity card. Then after locking me in his chamber he told me to put my phone on the switch off and to keep it on the table. He threatened me and told me to give in writing that I should give in writing & take all complaints against mess back in writing. When I Denied then he abused me that - 'Tu gaand complaint karega' means 'u will complaint asshole' and further told me I'll expel u from college for putting out mess matters. Then he told me by -"tomorrow you give me in writing that u r taking all complaints back." I had to escape from his chamber so I told yes sir. Also he told that if u tell that I had called u to meet me then u will be in huge trouble, u know me naa. I told - "yes sir"

Then next day he called me and his PA called me 8 times to come to meet Vijayanath sir. Then I didn't pick call and I put all the matter on twitter.

Then he saw that tweet.
Then yesterday while writing Obstetrics paper this Dr Vijayanath Hod⁩ grabbed my neck, he along with Keshawan and Priyadarshan took me out of hall in between my paper and didn't let me complete paper and after taking out he told - "aja tera sara tweet nikalta hun", tujhe teri aukat dikhata hun"

After this

Yesterday this vijayanath told me - I had told u not to reveal that I had called u to my chamber and had told u to not to reveal anything then how u did that tweet? Now I will show u who I am.

The Senior resident of Forensic medicine department of ESIC MEDICAL COLLEGE, CHENNAI, Dr Dileep was entering the random rooms of UG men's hostel alone without the consent of students & also the rooms which were closed from outside & no students were in that room. When one student asked that -"sir why are you entering random rooms when the room is closed from outside & the owner of the room is not present", then he threatened the student very badly & said - "now I'll show you what I can do now".

These kind of goons ESIC is hiring?
