A find in the forest today while engaging with 5th graders from Centerville ES! https://t.co/tmjdmynoUU Learning local with resources and the environment.
OGES students had great reactions and interactions as we studied rocks, roots, and rivers as part of Earth Systems and its interactions. Beautiful skies and awesome kids!
Outdoor school session 2! Although we were virtual, this was an amazing experience to be a part of. Good job @fcpsoutdoor, you are an amazing team! #virtualoutdoorschool
Great catch with UMS! Hellgrammite in action. These critters need clean, healthy streams. Learning about bioindicators and stream quality during our Watershed Tour. Watch it breathe!
Mr. Querry headed to the creek per the students' choice. He demonstrated how we disrupt the creek and showed "bioindicators" (creatures that show a creek is healthy.)
The chat box reflects the enthusiastic response of students to this virtual Outdoor School experience. As one student said, "Best day ever!" Thanks so much to our Outdoor School staff for continuing to make this environmental experience possible!
