Super excited for my Godson @KJRiley10! Praying for him to land an amazing position as a scholar athlete-hopefully at an HBCU?! Will he be #SWAC, #MEAC, #CIAA?
@cmjones99 Whoa... Makes me wonder what was the policy analysis, if any, that went into this decision? Is all health care banned or is this a ban on certain procedures related to gender change? With all the health codes available, one could easily deny specifics but not all care.
@berthahidalgo I’m up EARLY finalizing the presentation and 😂 through all this whole thread! My husband was a few days earlier than Christmas Eve with his question & did go get 2 small toys so they could have some toys instead of just educational gifts but still...

A *long* time ago, I wrote a blog about my life as a STEM graduate student. I’m a black woman in materials science. There was no Twitter, no Insta, barely FB, no digital community. Just me. #BlackAFinSTEM#BlackInTheIvory#BlackandSTEM Thread 1/x
@DrNLouissaint Most people haven’t been trained to or operate daily in the process of weighing as much evidence as possible before speaking/making a decision. both negative & positive consequences for those of us that have been trained to do so & is the reason many of us grind silently.
@DrNLouissaint It makes individual sense for people making decisions about returning back to normalcy without paying attention to the broader evidence. Unfortunately, that is the space in which many people/families are operating or being forced to operate. Both then and now.
@UMBC_PhDivah Congratulations Dr. Evans!! You did it! And by it, I don’t just mean the PhD! You lived a whole and well life while completing a dissertation. JOB WELL DONE!!
